We all use the same figures - and the same sources. He frames them in a way you prefer.

Seven dont believe their ratings are down. But what would they know
The same Seven that claim AFL was the no.1 sport programme when they win reach & lose avg, yet still claim it when they lose reach & win avg… and you have a go at someone else for spinning numbers to suit.

I will qualify that my post below doesn’t account for game length which does matter for fta

But seven will be paying 170 to 180 million for the afl club comp whose ratings are falling

Their game are losing many weeks to nrl games which is unheard of

Then you’ve got men’s and women’s origin etc

Seven has gotten huge lemon

Nine will be able to become the dominant fta network off the back of its rugby league content

Kerry stokes has backed a loser
Where you getting your figures from?

Afl cash deal was announced as $571mill a year
presuming $30mill is telstra cash that leaves $540mil for fta and pay tv.

Next tv deal ?

Doubt 580 million includes Telstra as the total is 650 million

580 million including contra

Fox ? 400 to 430 million
Seven 150 to 180 million

Remember nine pays around 120 million for the nrl

If origin is worth 50 to 75 million including womens, men’s nrl is currently getting only 45 to 75 million

From channel seven pov getting all the nrl rights down the track becomes more and more compelling

thats only according to you and your mate. No one else.
Sure, see all the people that respond to his posts and what they say about your website

All the rugby league accounts on Twitter I follow even a few journalists.

When it comes to accurate analysis of rugby league ratings he’s my first and only port of call

I generally try and avoid reading your posts on here

It’s only you feel a constant need to respond to me do I even bother engaging

I just don’t find your commentary to be very accurate but that’s my opinion

We have to wait, around 9 mths and the AFL figures will be out. So the bar been set beat $540 cash (awaiting confirmation March 2026 )

If the NRL go with 2FTA ie Nine and Network Ten combined together it will probably beat Seven's yearly figure.
This year we want a increase from Foxtel, and i suggested a Pre and Post season monthly competitions with some other cherries.
Like Nine don't pay accordingly for SOS.

If Nine would pay $220 for what they get/got now fine, BUT they won't. Even today they stated ( Nine Entertainment media )the players Union want less games, funny how when TV rights come into play negative stores abound in the Nine entertainment Website and papers ie SMH.
So to get to pay more from the $115m pa, hard to get, to get $200m pa, is fantasy. You can get a inflation increase and adjustments of letting some games go towards Stan: etc a increase to $140m pa but not a done deal BUT the big play is for the 2 FTA packages with some subscription games thrown in..
The next consideration don't allow digital rights like now, Foxel/Kayo have exclusive PAYTV So to have a Big Teck Amazon or even Disney hve apart of the action. This means some games might have to be produced by the NRL ( via independent contractor like now, but the NRL pays, so to offer the BIG ONES say a Thursday night game and another game, action slots.
In essence your the seller divide it up to get the most $$ No more total exclusionary, some select exclusionary.
This way if Foxtel/Kayo come up short on our way to $550m pa we play the big Teck Monday night game and they have to wear 4 Games FTA

Your figures are all over lol

afl
cash and contra $640mill
cash only $571mill

nine is currently paying nrl $115mill cash + $15mill contra

So if telstra for afl is around the $30mill mark that leaves around $540mill cash for fta and ptv in their deal.

our cash deal is currently around $365million. It will need a 30% uplift to overtake afl.
