I said that it was one consideration, I havent backed off the data.

And Ive said before that there is every chance the NRL gets a big amount - they should with expansion and a three year post AFL start date, they bloody well better.

If they split the rights up. NRL scores huge but is harder for fans to find games

They keep the package all together the lack of competition keeps the price lower

That is the options.

He’s another one that said the bears were parasites for ages

Seeing the butthurt when the bears are announced in early January is going to be sweet

You would think these trolls would’ve learnt by now

Poor lambuck has pushed himself into a corner saying how bad the tv deal will be that there’s really no way he can back out in the future

I expect he will just stop posting on the relevant thread and stick to the afl and Penrith forums

Even his fellow afl mate has backed away from how bad the advertising market is and is now has no opinion at all even though his Twitter specialises in this

Again with your lack of comprehension.

I don't think this current deal is bad - so hence an improvement on it won't be either.

Worst case NRL has the 2nd highest TV deal in the Southern Hemisphere.

it will also be the biggest of any Rugby Code...

What I am calling out is your lack of realisation about how the world is.

That’s not what you were saying earlier about all the focus on just negatives

Your mate still is focusing solely on those negatives but it seems he’s the only one now

Ignore cheerleaders like me any neutral person would say with all the extra content the nrl is going to score a big payday

To argue it’s not simply defies logic

As I’ve said before the value of the dolphins isn’t fully reflected in our tv deal

Plus women’s origin, pacific cup and 3 new teams which will eventually mean two more games a week

Then you’ve got economic growth / inflation going from when the last tv deal was done to 2032

The nrl was looking at 100 million increase before expansion

With Stan set to bid against a cashed up dazn it looks like the situation hugely favours league. A factor you have never mentioned

Great now while you have the skirt and poms poms off.

You don't think reducing games that involve Broncos etc is going to result in less of that $100m deal? Throw in some International years when Australia play at 1am being in England also and that comes down.

We have yet to hear a figure on what PNG TV is putting in. If they are Team 19 then Australian TV aren't dropping the $20m that Dolphins attracted

This deal stated at $400m cash. The next one starts at $500m+ with all the things mentioned is great for the game

So all that complaining and you think the deal goes up by 100 million cash

They won’t reduce the number of games if it means the tv deal is crap

The rlpa is concerned about money first then welfare

The current nrl tv deal in png looks like it’s for free to grow the game. I can’t see it being worth a lot when the team first comes in but eventually 20 million to 40 million pa

Where did I complain? I pushed back at the blank cheque claims by you. I never said the deal wouldn't go up.

the Cap isn't going down so players still get more money per game then now.

That is why the deal won't be crazy numbers got to get PNG and other International deals to increase

Foxsports has a value of around 1.5 billion
Can’t see the rest of Foxtel being worth that much

Looks like they paid huge overs for Foxsports

This is a huge positive for the nrl tv deal

They will literally lose most of that money they paid if they lose nrl to stan

If Stan’s initial bid is 500 million then the nrl can get to 600 million for all the rights which would be around 170 million more cash than now

DAZN’s acquisition of the Foxtel Group is expected to close in the second half of fiscal 2025, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

Funny all these media rights "experts" like to say they're impartial, but their twitter accounts & likes say otherwise. Dr fujak reposts stuff calling NRL bogan.
