There is something called Google

Ch9/Stan 32% and 31% drop in profit across the last 2 years

Ch7 69% down

Ch10 $322m in debt

Even DAZN lost $1bn last ye

Now your claim it will improve is based on what?

you wanting it to be true doesn't make it so
The reason why the Australian TV stations are loosing money, is because they keep putting out crappy shows like the block and stupid 12 hours worth of news shows. No Australian productions, no Australian kids shows, no sitcoms, no docos no idea.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

for me. I stopped watching free to air when they would debut a 'new' show... that had a whole season or seasons online somewhere.

As streaming continues to increase TV will keep dying the slow death we are seeing

Merry Christmas

So where does it say in the company reports they won’t be bidding for the nrl ?

Oh wait you made that up

Dazn just spent 3.4 billion on Foxtel

You don’t buy a new Ferrari then take out its high performing engine

Stan have said on multiple occasions they want to bid for the whole tv rights

You just make stuff up in your head then think it’s. a fact

Again because I am certain you are slow I will dumb it down.

With ch9 add production costs and the like they are outlaying $130m or so on NRL

Revenue is down 1/3rd. And increase for a NRL further eats into that.

They have a new CEO and board who have bonus' tied to turning that around. Hence will have a price point of where they can't afford it

You claim to of studied accounting you should know this stuff.

As for the Foxtel sale. You think they just handed over $3b cash?

News Limited and Telstra now own 9% of DAZN meaning shares in the company make up part of the payment.

AFR also reported they were working with Bank of America about the deal. So that implies a loan is also part of it.

So while none have said it. You can use the info out there to get an idea.

Now again I ask what are you using to say 'it will turn around'?

Losing biggest rating events will help profits?!

How is it possible that Foxtel sold for $3.4bn when they were just on the verge of collapse and "desperately needed an asset" according to Vlandy's?

Collapsing to being worth $3.4bn in the space of a few years is quite an amazing achievement.

You don't think they will run DAZN in place of Kayo? The aim is to build that brand up according to reports

I don't know what that means. If you want to run pay sport in Australia and don't have NRL then you will fail. See paramount & a league..

Aha so they borrowed money for the purchase so it’s not worth what they paid for it

Lmao

I don’t know where you get this bs from but it sure is funny

Paramount's issues are due to their content production costs blowing out.

But the issue with that deal is If you like soccer then you need Optus and Stan for the bigger League.

My point was DAZN now have NBA, NFL, F1 rights in Australia to go with the local stuff. Not sure it makes sense having that on a seperate App

As opposed to just having $3b lying around?

So nothing to back up your claims?

My point is that they probably want the biggest pay sport in Australia.

So your house isn’t worth what you paid for it bc you got a mortgage on it ?

Someone didn’t study economics did they ?

How an asset is funded has zero impact on its value. Econ 101

Do you think there is a TV company in this country that doesn't want it?

There is a difference between wanting and being able to afford it.

What we have seen in the US with NBA and NFL is the future.

multiple providers

If I had to guess 60 percent of all tv ratings across all of Foxtel would be rugby league and they would lose all of that if someone else gets it

Stan would create the number one pay service in Australia by getting rugby league

All that equity Dazn paid for would be wiped out

The nrl is in a very lucky position here to make it rain
