Having read lots of rumours and confirmations of next year possible punk shows in australia i thought i should post them for all punk fans on the boards who may be interested.

starting with Rise against touring in january as part of the BDO festival, they will also be playing the annandale hotel on january 28th with irrelevant as support. tix are on sale for $33

Next is Anti flag and the lwarence arms playing the metro in sydney february 11th. brillaint line up and the lawrence arms promises to be brilliant. tickets are currently on sale and are around the 30 dollar mark.

Thne the last of the 3 gigs i will post is the Strung Out/Strike Anywhere tour planned for may-june. Should be an absolute gem of a gig and it will hopefully be penned in for the gaelic club in surry hills.

looking to be a great start to next year for us punk fans

The misfits broke up in 1983 man, the band now is just a money making gimmick led by Jerry Only.

strung out will tour in april may which is talked about on their official website.

aparently the used planned tour has hit a bit of a snag as the used are asking for extra cash to bring out another band from the states to support them.

bad religion want to tour but cant find any promoters or anyone to hold the gigs. this is due to the bad religion folk breaking promises on planned tours more than once out here in oz. promoters like michael chugg are asking bad religion to sign a contract guarenteeing they play out here instead of running off abck to the states like they did in 2002. bad religion wont sign the contract so its been put on hold.

I was so pissed when Bad Religion cancelled Livid in 02...and they were gonna play at the Corner!

Also hearing some rumors about Social Distortion FINALLY touring. Most people say its on but soe people are telling me that they are asking for too much money.
Also a rumour that Tiger Army are coming out!

i've been told of the tiger army rumours aswell.

bad religion was gonna be brilliant at livid. they were the reason i was going.

propagandhi and no use for a name will tour this year on the back of their new albums being released. propagandhi will definetly be a must see to any punk fan. the best 3 piece i have ever seen. absolutely brilliant in music lyrics and sound.

ive been waiting for br for so long! first they pulled out of warped in 99 then livid in 02. i never get my hopes up over any rumor or any announcement over br anymore which is a shame coz they own. im going to make sure i get to LA next year to see all the south bar bands: pennywise, 1208, western waste, cigar etc.

i hope vandals come out soon

rise against friday night was easily the best gig i have ever been to. such an intimate but yet intense gig and the annandale is and was a brilliant setting for rise against to cut loose. tim mcilrath was the ultimate front man for a punk/hardcore act. he sung with such intensity and his easy simply pierced through everyone in attendance.

spoke to the drummer brandon after the gig and he said they are going to be heading back out to OZ in july. looks like they'll be able to come back and headline their own tour.
