Would have mattered for Pollard to nail a field goal to win a senior game.

Setting a field goal to win a game is what they train for. Good to practice in match conditions
Well it wasn't a senior game and it wasn't NRL match conditions. It was a trial. A run around the park. A blowout for conditioning and cobwebs.

Don't take it too seriously guys.

Good night out - stack of people at the ground and about. It was a standard trial, a lot going on.
Shame the infinite wisdom of the club decided not to open the gates till 700pm. A line up all the way down Captain Cook Drive. Great getting down there early to stand in the afternoon sun and improve my tan.
In the words of the great man Gallen, who wander past us to get in early ‘what’s going on’
Like most, who knows, bloody shambles.

haha, almost as bad as the members fan day a couple of weeks back. Would it really have hurt when they saw the line up beginning to build up not to just open it up? We had Dino on the gate checking tickets haha. Who is in control of making these consistently ridiculous decisions? I hope they are nowhere near anything financial related.

as for the game itself.. thought we did alright. Warriors named the far better side. We did well to walk away with a draw that probably should have been a win if we’d kicked a field goal. Some good signs. Especially in defence.

I'd say that's exactly why the gates opened late. Dino on the gate. Won't get any pay for that. The later they open, the later they have to set things up. The later they can set up the less they pay per hour for employees, contractors etc. A trial at Shark Stadium was never going to be a $$ bonanza so go the opposite way - don't spend.

Did they have food and drinks and bars?

If so, did they sell 2 or 3 hotdogs?

I get trying to save some money.. but really how much more do they save by opening it even 15 minutes earlier as opposed to pissing a whole lot of people off having to still be waiting in the line when the game has begun?

They'd have a smaller loss is the point. It's smart.

Anyway, how are the dunnies this year. Are they still shit splattered, piss covered disgusting things?

Let the bum go.

He is, at best, 4th choice for the halves.
As ordinary as Puru was, I'd pick him first any day.
Dykes will hopefully return to match fitness in the short term, and I have him ahead of both of them.
Another 12-18 months max and Pollard and Ford will be better options.

I'm calling Atkinson ASADA from now on - he's got nothing.

Pollard already looked better then Puru, he will play many more games of first grade.

Shame we lost Healey, we should have moved Berrell and Taj Brailey on to keep Healey.

I would have liked to have seen Pollard and Ford play while of 2nd half

Club probably didn't know Taj B was going to pull the pin on rugba league at the time. Sam Healey probably regrets going now. No problem. BB isn't going anywhere. Let the Warriors develop Sam and bring him back later
