God I wish we'd sign Eric Grothe Jnr. He'd be a fantastic buy. The Eels are offering Tahu $400k - big bucks - for a reason. It seems logical.

Eric Growthe Jnr was signed on a 1year deal by the Eels for this year.

There was no two year deal with one year option in his favour.

He is off contract and up for grabs....................

And from what I'm hearing, we're making a pretty hard chase for him

No, Rieck is the the an who will be culled it seems with Grothe's purchase. Merritt will flounder in Divvy.

If thats the case it looks to me retaining Peachey is unlikey

Haven't heard anything on that, but it's looking more likely.
You gotta admit though, Simmo has really come on this year. He's starting to look really good at fullback. Still a ways short of the Peach, but that's no disrespect to him. He looks to have a good future there.

To me Peachey is more threatening in attack than Simmons in the Fullback role currently. Defensively Peachey seems to have dropped off a bit, but still at an acceptable standard. Its going to be a huge Dilemma for the Sharks, to kepp Peachey or not to #-o . Most fans wont be happy with this departure.

Defensively? He continues to save try after try for us. If it weren't for his presence in every game last year, we'd have conceeded 900 points for the season.

I notice a lot of you have left Dumas out ... any particular reason.

I personally believe he should be our lock next year.

Dumas and Bird will fit it out for the Lock role. Personally I'd rather start Dumas and bench Bird, but something tells me it'll be the other way around.
