I hope the Steelers have something up their sleeve, they've done nothing but lose their starting NT and the little depth they had on the defensive side.
I think they take Wentz at 2 and use him as a bridge....Well I'm thinking that he will get all season to show off his skills. But he will get 6 games always against good teams. They will need to draft well. I reckon they will trade the 2nd pick away to get more pucks as they have heaps of gaps to fill.
Next season they will target a qb.
LINK"We are excited to add Robert to our team," Brown said. "Robert possesses a unique skill set at the quarterback position. He has played at a high level in this league and is intent on doing everything in his power to return to that level on a consistent basis. After meeting with him, having him work out for us and doing our diligent research, we felt it was right to grant him an opportunity with our organization. We were able to see and feel his passion and commitment to re-establishing himself as a starting quarterback in this league and his embrace of the hard work that will be is essential to his development.
"We've been clear on the importance of improving and stabilizing the quarterback position for our franchise," Brown continued. "We have said that the draft is and will be our primary focus, but we will always look to complement the draft through free agency, and this is one of those examples. We look forward to working with Robert and getting him in the building with his teammates at the start of the offseason program on April 4."
I never understood why the steelers never gave Boykin a chance. I rated him higher than most of the other corners on our squad, yet he started only one game
Boykins is a good slot Corner, that's a good signing for the Panthers
even better at under $1 mil when he was offered twice that amount from other teams, so far this off season has gone very nicely.
