I know it's still over a week until New Years, but do you have any new years resolutions?

I haven't thought of one yet

Stop Word vomitting.   I only do it on the very odd occasion, but it can turn into a very bad habit if I don't stop.

Hey Lor-ree, does this mean verbal diarrhoea? If so, I do it too.
It took a while for me to learn how to be concise!

I never make New Year's resolutions because I know I won't stick to them. It's just a date on a calendar so it's never gonna be enough to motivate me. #-o

I'm going to quit smoking

Hey Gene, ive just quit smoking myself. I decided to do it before the new year because most New Years Resolutions fail. Anyway, i read this great book by a bloke called Alan Carr, (called the Easy Way to Stop Smoking). it really really helped me stop. I recommend it to all my mates. Have you heard of this book? If not, you really shoud give it a go if youre serious about quitting...

yeh astro, it is verbal diarrhoea, but if you've ever seen mean girls it's also when you just spit out something that was a secret that you were meant to keep. Some people even just vomit lies because they're in an awkwad situation. I just have a problem with verbal diarrhoea and occasionally saying secrets at the spur of the moment that I shouldn't have.
Whoops there I go again, can't stop talking!

okay so it wasn't that big. never mind astro ;-)
Don't mind me either - I'm just embarassed that I can't find the time to keep a lousy new year's resolution! :D :?

My issue is more that when I start talking I can't stop, especially when I'm excited.

Classic example was last year on my way down to the snow - it was my first trip in 10 years! I was in a car with 3 boys who accused me of having verbal diarhoea. Then on the slopes I met a boy at ski class who also accused me of the same thing! I can't help it when I'm happy and excited! :D

lol I have a friend who is a bit like that too, my problem is more to do with writing reports etc. Some people find it hard to write to the minimum limit, I always find it hard to stay under the maximum.

I always come up with a few, but I'm not sure, by the end of the year, if I've achieved any of them. I just dug up last year's list (posted on another forum). I'll embolden the ones I actually achieved.

- Lose Some Weight (Get down to 80kgs)
I went up to 90, and then back down to 84. Started the year at 85.

- Play more sports
Didn't do that

- Form, at some point, a fulfilling relationship
I guess friendships count, but didn't happen in terms of romance

- Have a good time (Most Important)
I probably had the best year of my life. It was a lot of fun.

- Achieve good marks (and graduate)
Managed to get through the year with my worst mark being a credit.

- Do body shots (Dammit!)
Still no luck

- Have a good New Year's Eve for 2004
It's in the works. My mates and I are planning a night out.

- Keep my newfound positive outlook
More or less

- Finish my novel
But I'm so close! Only two chapters and a shitload of editing to go!

- Make new friends and keep old ones
Kept all of my friends, and made heaps more. Well done CWB!

Next Year
Like ya'll cared about last year's, but meh.

- Enjoy my new life in Newcastle
- Lose weight, dammit
- Get something published
- Continue to act
- Go to every Knights' home game
- Save money for my trip to Fiji

That ought to do it. I want to play sport too, but wouldn't even know where to start looking in Newie.

hey I never asked, what is your book about? I'd like to write a book one day too, but I always write a few chapters then have writers block
