Warriors Name Team For Raiders Clash
Written by: League Correspondent

"Warriors coach Daniel Anderson has named an unchanged squad to face the Canberra Raiders.
The only change from last weeks rout of the Bulldogs is the inclusion of Motu Tony on the bench in place of Tevita Latu who is still suffering from pnuemonia".

Who writes these articles? Need I say anymore?

The articles for League Unlimited are written by just about anyone who wants to, but they are put through an editorial process, so sloppy stuff like that shouldn't get through really.
A lot of the stuff is direct media releases from the clubs etc.
League Unlimited is on the mailing list for media releases from most clubs, and i think they put just about all of them straight up with minimal changes.

I thought unchanged meant unchanged :?

I guess Kiwi unchanged means minor differences. :D

I thought Motu Tony was on the bench last week, as I was watching how he went, as he is heading to Brisbane at the end of the year.

So if I am correct, I was watching to right player.

So that means the Warriors team is unchanged.

Maybe Tony was an inclusion later i the week after the squad was named....

So the team that plays this weekend is no different from the team that slaughtered the Bulldogs, but is different to the team that was announced last Tuesday.

Could that be a reasonable explanation?

Whether it makes sense in hindsight and after deliberation is exactly the point - news reports are meant to be concise, clear and easily understood to the point that it makes sense the first time.

You can make it make sense, but only after rationalising out which players have played, what exactly a 'squad' constitutes and having read and re-read the article a few times. It's just a bit sloppy, that's all.

As for news-report submissions - I remember you mentioning it roopy - how does one submit an article?

I didnt see what jersey he was wearing as I was at the Knights/Roosters game supporting my club. I still havent seen the Dogs/Warriors game, but from all reports the other 5 teams should be pretty scared of what they did to a quality outfit on Sturday.

The Warriors were good no doubting it, but the Dogs were woeful, (nil defence) they made the Warriors look that good, when the Dogs had the ball and held on to it they had the Warriors backpeddling a fair bit. The Roosters would've beaten both of them I think.

I re-state the question - how does one go about submitting an article?
