I am going to the Sydney one in Dec and I am so excited about it. I got my tickets today but didn't really get the ones i wanted as the ticketek site stuffed up and did some weird shit so I wasn't able to purchse tickets until abpout 9.30 this morning.
So thats my whinge about that but I am still excited about going.

Congrats on getting your tickets Bronnie.

I'm still deciding whether or not to go to their NZ Concert. It appears they are playing 3 venues here first as a warm-up before starting their Aussie tour.

Have you seen them live before?

Can I ask what your tickets cost? Ours are $40NZ per person so I guess I'd be a mug to miss out - problem is, I can't find anyone to go with.

Hope you have a great time.

2nd Powderfinger Sydney show on sale Thursday...

I didnt get tickets to the first show because i couldnt get reasonable tickets - no floor tickets at all, only on the 2nd tier - i'd get the bends going up to my seat!

Hopefully it will be easier getting better tickets to this show...

I've got tickets to the Friday 12th Dec show in Sydney.

Last time I saw powderfinger was back in 1997 at the Great Northern Hotel in Byron Bay.

Tickets for their sydney show are around $60, which isn't too bad considering what some artists are asking for these days and there are two support bands.
I haven't seem them live before so I am very excited about that but I have heard from other people that they are quite good live but them other people say they could be better. I guess everyone has a different intrepretation of how things sound but I'm not too worried, the atmosphere will be unreal.

How many albums do powderfinger have? I've never been interested in their previous work, but I'm considering getting their latest. Just wondering how many albums it has taken for me to like them

There is 5 I think. I have 4 of them
Double allergic 1996
Internationalist 1998
Odyssey Number five 2000
Vulture Street 2003

There was one out before Double allergic but don`t know what it is called. Personally i like Double Allergic the best but also rate Odessey no 5 highly as well

Got 2 tix to the Newy show.
I saw them at the Big Day Out a couple of years ago, but it being such a big gig its hard to get a real good sound.

I also saw them at the Cambridge Hotel just after they released "Double Allergic". They went off at that gig but its a pretty intimate venue which is the best way to see your favourite bands. But as you all now, when bands get big they tend to stop playing to a couple of hundred people.(no money in it.

It should be a good show though. There new albums pretty solid.

They are playing at the St James Theatre here in NZ which although I haven't been there its apparently medium sized and is a good concert venue without being sardined.

Just waiting for my next pay and sorting out my finances before I definately decide to go.

I really like the album Vulture Street and some songs off Odessey 5 are receiving plenty of airplay atm because of them touring so it should be a great night.
