NFT-What do you do on your days off?

just wondering what people do on their weekdays off?
Me- once I get over the strained feeling of guilt then I go back to bed until 8:30 ish
Then it read the paper and head into Newcastle for a coffee in Beamont street.
Lunch is usually a Big Als Elliot Ness sandwich and then i head to the beach for a swim if its hot or just to sit and contemplate the world.
Not very exciting but it does clear the head and lets you take in what other people are doing instead of being Coocooned in a workplace.Stop and smell the roses sometime.......
So .. whats a good stress relief when the word 'sickie' is mentioned in the morning?

I sometimes go out fishing on my boat. If not I'll play tennis for a few hours and then go see a movie.

Fishing, Nothing beats bobbing around on the water in the boat. Few crab traps out, couple of cold ones, waiting for that fish of a lifetime to bite! ;-) Luv it.

I've had the entire week off. I've gone to the beach, went for a ride on my motorcycle down to Kangeroo Valley, been going to the gym, just lazing about - it's great. I love shift work when you can sleep in on a Monday morning knowing everyone else is stuck in peak hour traffic trying to get to work. I have breakfast at lunch time when I finally get out of bed and dinner at midnight.

I'm a lazy bastard and hence usually enjoy doing stuff all :D

Most of the time to relax I will spend time with my girlfriend, play PS2, take the dog for a good walk, watch a movie or if I'm up to it catch up with some of my CPA course.

A day off on a week day?!?!?

For me, that's unheared of!

But, on holidays when I've got nothing planned or I'm at home in Newcastle, it probably consists of some form of musical or sporting activity, sometimes social, sometimes on my own like mountain biking or surfing.

Occasionally I'll get into some painting, but less and less these days as I'm more and more pressed for time (not to mention inspiration).

My boss tells me that I can 104 days off per year... they're called weekends.

Never get days off during the week, unless I take a holiday day! April's the day when I've got around 4 days off in a month. Taking one day off and the rest are public holidays. Loving that! :D

I haven't been up to all that much lately on weekends. Go out with friends sometimes, was supposed to be doing that this weekend but my friend is sick so I'm stuck at home this weekend.

are you coming up our way in may risa?

Unfortunately no. I have time off for Origin 3 (finally going this year!) and when Karen's coming down in July instead. I haven't got enough holidays at my job yet to come up there. It's a bit of a bummer!

Living with grandparents - one has Alzheimers, the other is blind - spare time is uncommon. It's normally spent running them around to doctors, specialists etc. Or working in the house or yard to keep it functioning.
