Just in case you wondered who the name on the try scorers sheet was, the bloke is Nigel Vagana. Most of you wouldn't have seen much of this guy yet but, I'm told he will be a handy aquisition to the Sharks one day.

Apparently, he is a try scoring machine, previously from the Bulldogs.

Is that the bloody hack of a centre who scored a winning gold point try against the Eels?

Seriously Nige, saw a bit more ball ball today. He and Merrit seem to building a good combination.

It was good today to see us finally use Vagana. We seem to be getting out of the habit of directing all our traffic purely down the left hand side and venturing over to the right hand side. He also went looking for the ball more with dummy half runs and so on. Lets hope its the start to bigger and better attacking things.

Thta's why we need a ball playing 5/8th, to give us that right side option. Noddy likes the left side because it suits him. I know Gallen had a great game, but he is not the long term solution. Give Aitken a go, he and Vagana could strike up a devastating partnership.

Finally the ball sailed right from a scrum straight into Vagana's hands and he did what he is paid to do. Break the line at a run.
That was his specialty at the Dogs, and we can hope it happens more often now.

Maybe the shoulder injury he had has been getting fitter and his confidence improves with that and therefor his form improves. Just an thought.

He is also still finding his footing with cronulla as a team. The try he scored on sunday was great and as said previously the winning try against parra was gold

That could be the case BBB2 as i dont think the extent of Vagana's shoulder injury was ever eally made public and his match fitness was prob not the best. I was just calling it how i see it.
I think Vagana's increased involvement could also be attributed to Bailey going back to the forwards as Noddy does not have to go out to the far left to find Bailey anymore. Bailey can play in closer to the action either side of the ruck these days and is seeing more than his fair share of ball.
