The NRL match review committee have reviewed Thursday night's game and have charged Jason Nightingale with a grade three death stare given to the referee in the 44th minute. If found guilty, the troublesome winger will face 3 weeks on the sidelines for contrary conduct against an official. The New Zealand International winger's season appears over as he also faces a 2 week charge after coughing in the direction referee and not saying 'excuse me'.
There were unsubstantiated claims Benji Marshall produced a grade 4 fart on the referee, although these have since been revoked. It was later deemed that the smell was inadvertently emitted from his performance, and not intended for the referee.
Meanwhile Sam Thaiday was cleared of a chokeslam and piledriver on diminutive fullback Adam Quinlan. The charge was thrown out after it was discovered Brisbane are a Super League team.
