No Betting on the Dragons-Knights

I notice Centrebet has the odds for all the games this weekend except the Dragons-Knights. They are not going to take the risk on Johns after getting their fingers burned last week.

I dont really understand why the bookies would've been that badly burned last weekend. I mean, sure a couple of clever charlies got a some cheeky wins when the odds were at 5 bucks, but how many people would've had the Knights in a multi? How much money was on the Knights in the first place? I don't think they would've been that badly done by.

Very few punters had NZ for the outright win at 5s.
Most took them with the 15.5 start, but many also took the Knights -15.5 earlier in the week.
Munsie and Daffy both said they were not burnt at all on the weekend.

typical...happily take everyones money...but when there is the risk people will thrash them they'll close down the market.

I doubt they would have lost too much money at all. Most people would have written off the warriors anyway.

It's called Risk Management Mick and any business would do the same thing. They are out to protect their interests and if there is speculation over whether Johns plays or not, then I'd be wary as well.

Why not just shut down the market on every Tigers game as well then?

Stupid bookmakers, you can't open and close markets based on a player appearing. The whole point is risk by both the bookies and the betters.

Ah well. Go Saints.

You,re still not crying over the 70-32 result by chance

How did i know a pathetic little soul like yourself would bring that up?

Anything to tak the attention away from the real problem at hand hey?

Thing is with us raiders, we are on the improve, whilst with the knights, you got nothing without Mr Superstar.

As we have been told the last few years, You dont win premierships in April.

Enjoy relying on Mr Superstar's fragile body!

P.S You can have the 70-32 result, it will be the highlight of your season :D

But you are a manly fan, anyone that listens to you is referring to genocide. Just accept that the glory days of arthurson are over, and I will post a question to you. Whats worse than being an ignorant roosters fan? Being a naieve manly fan! Why you ask? Cos the roosters, no matter how remote, have a chance at winning the comp!

If you're going to "swing the satchel" you've got to at least have a bit of balls. It's like the bookie that winds his price in three rolls without taking a wager, Risk Management - maybe, Sh*tting Himself - definately.
They set their boards with ridiculous percentages, and then poo their pants when there's a chance there might be a payout. Gutless with attitude.
