No depth.

tonight just showed how skinny our depth is, and next year won't be much better.
But it is a fault of the NRL/NSWRL, this NSW cup as reserve grade is a joke, have the time there are byes and stuff.
How can you put a player back down to Wenty or bring him back from injury thru wenty when they have bloody byes and split rounds all the time and Toyota cup is a big jump for some young blokes.
Bring back the old reserve grade or let 3-4 over 20's play in the Toyota cup per team.

I think the gap is so large between first grade and N.S.W. cup that it takes a while for a new player to get used to the pace of first grade ....I like the look of Jonathan Wright ....but he was way out of his depth tonight .....with a swag of games under his belt he would improve out of sight .....just as the likes of Robson , Lowrie etc have ...

IMO they've improved a hell of a lot in comparison to the early stages of the year .......not so great tonight ...but neither was anybody else ....

I dunno they've always been solid defenders who don't offer that much in attack for mine.

They have done a few good things in attack during the golden run of 7 wins .....some good passes , line breaks etc ........at the beginning they definitely offered nothing in attack .......

another thing on depth is our depht in attack last night, we played very flat where as the last 7 weeks we have been deep and hitting the ball at speed and producing many off loads but last night that was gone.

I wasn't just pointing at last night but the season as a whole and we are not the only club with this problem.
Yes our attitude was off and the Dragons were on fire, your attitude only has to be down 5% and you can get toweled up in this comp.
The thing that upset me about last night was that we looked like we gave up in the 2nd half and the positive is we played 100 times better than that for the previous 7 games and can turn it around quickly with DA as coach, something i wouldn't have said last year.
