No game DAY till May .... a momentum builder crowd wise ?

As far as I can tell the first few home games for the Titans are all commencing after 5.30pm on a Saturday.

Unsure if a planned schedule or not but I think it will help with their crowd numbers.

No looking into the sun if on the side of the field copping it, plus invites out of towners to make more of a weekend of it.

If they grab early wins at home it would auger well for the rest of the season.

Having a well-credentialed if recently underwhelming coach has off-season speculation leaning ever so slightly towards the positive in Desneyland. Even rusted-on Titans fans are hesitant to tempt the Footy Fates, however, an emerging group of young talent mixed with a block of 100 gamers behind a decent pack offers reason to hope. If Hasler can just get his dojo working to reduce the points conceded game average by a handful, cajole his merry men into playing for somewhere around 80 minutes each week and get the women playing curtain raisers then CBus would fill.

It actually looks like the NRL schedulers have started to take more notice of local conditions and set the game schedules to better fit wth what works at different home cities. For example the Warriors have a lot of early season home games when weather is mild and pleasant in Auckland and less in midwinter when it’s likely to be cold and wet. In contrast the Cowboys have few home games early on when it’s still the tail end of the wet season and humid. Good to see the Gold Coast getting similar consideration.
