...and souls as well, Illusion!Watching the presser is sooooooo depressing , these two look like lost soles from a bygone era .......
Appreciate it, thanks teza. You must be sad that your son has decided to give the Dragons a miss now? I think there are many of the fans making the same decision. We really do need a massive broom to clean up the joint but this has been said over and over again and the same rubbish is thrown on the floor every year since the 2009-2011 days.Been a Dragons supporter since 1965 and have never seen the club in such disarray. My son, raised to be a Dragons fan sadly informed me he is abandoning them. Griffin must go NOW! Like to see Paul Smith (Sydney Kings) brought in a consultancy role to hopefully clean up the mess and Des Hasler as interim coach. Dragon Dave, we'll said!
thanks mate cant spell for the life of me .........and souls as well, Illusion!
Which is odd considering he puts out a heap of crap each Tuesday at 4pm.Hook looks permanently constipated.
I fail to see how this club can attract any decent staff, whether that be coach or players. The place is the laughing stock of the Nrl. I believe that the club can only attract people who are not deserving ( and why wouldn't you accept the money we offer) or have been within the club previously and understand how the club works.Hook is going to get sacked soon so the Board has a scapegoat. But as most of us realise, the problems run a lot deeper than the coach. Let's not forget those issues when the new guy arrives, otherwise we'll be in the same position in another 3 years time. We still need a complete shift in the culture of the JV, and that is a lot harder than paying out a coach in the last year of his contract.
The first step is to sign a strong professional coach who won't take a backward step. Sign him for 3 years so that the Board will be afraid to sack him (they don't like paying out contracts).I fail to see how this club can attract any decent staff, whether that be coach or players. Too watch the team play the way they do, and not just this year but for years now, week in week out with no real passion for the jersey just makes me sick. Sloan!! Should have got rid of him when he wanted to go, reminds me so much of Dufty. To small for that position. Attack is hot and cold but defensively is hopeless.
Lomax is so wasted. He never gets early ball because even if we get a team on the back foot we still have to have another forward hit up because that is our structured play.
Mybe is hopeless at hooker and actually is a hinderance to our forwards when he is on the field. Liddle (i think that’s his name) makes such a difference when he comes on and i’m not saying get rid of Mybe just use him as a utility. Hunt is never going to win you a premiership but i feel we have limited options in the current situation.
Why do our forwards continue to catch the ball 5 metres behind the advantage line and struggle to sometimes even make the advantage line. Surely someone realises that this is how the game needs to be played now. Field position and getting on the front foot is how you fatigue your opponents. Quick play the balls is how all the good teams break open the defensive line, just watch a good hooker when he gets a quick play the ball. Why can’t our coaching team see this?
I know this is a fair rant and have just scratched the surface but i’m sure we are all hurting right now.
EMBARRASSING!!!
I just feel attracting a decent coach is really difficult for this club. I don’t know what it is, is it too political at the Dragons?? It just seems as I mentioned earlier that you either have come from within or are just under qualified. What is it with our club??The first step is to sign a strong professional coach who won't take a backward step. Sign him for 3 years so that the Board will be afraid to sack him (they don't like paying out contracts).
Once the coach is on board, a whole new coaching staff, including fitness staff should be appointed and I suggest letting the coach pick his staff.
If Hunt wants to walk let him walk but if he stays, select him and a young gun in the hooker rotation.
Then let the new head coach run the football team.
It is plain for me to see that the coaching staff are not up to it and the players have fitness issues.I just feel attracting a decent coach is really difficult for this club. I think Hunt could stay for now (we don’t seem to have another option) as long as Liddle is the main hooker. Team going forward makes such a difference to Hunts game as with most half backs. I just can’t believe that our coaching staff cant see this fundamental issue. All the teams are running hard getting quick play the balls and getting the opponents on the back foot. Are they F**king blind?? Once on the back foot get it out to Lomax, i know he could make players look silly with his footwork if they are retreatin.
Not sure about the fitness, I’m sure they’re fit i just think we don’t fatigue the other team due to not making many metres in our sets. Poor game plan or execution of the game planIt is plain for me to see that the coaching staff are not up to it and the players have fitness issues.

Yes, agree. Doust is the culprit. Shonky (backroom deal) with the Gordon's Then retires from CEO.It was interesting on the weekend when i was driving home listening to the Continuous Call Team on the radio. Piggy Riddell-who played for us for a few years- was asked what he thought was wrong with the Dragons. Straight up he said it was Doust and the rest of the Board. He said that Doust had had many years to deliver the goods to St George, and most famously stuffed up over Bennetts contract extension. He said if Doust couldnt deliver during those years, then why was he on the board now. Its strange that everyone outside seems to know what is wrong with the Dragons , except for the board. Poor coaching choices and extensions when they werent justified or needed , yet no accountability to Club members or supporters. I'm not sure what it takes to get action, but i also know currently that Emails don't appear to be getting answered. Im hoping its the volume of them thats overwhelming the staff, not just that they dont care
Yep and sadly the only time he smiles is when hes got windHook looks permanently constipated.

A bit more tolerant only BSE. Is there a common thread that all 3 of these coaches have virtually not done a good job for the club and would it be likely that the 4th guy, whomever that will be, will die on his sword as well? In other words, are we cursed? Its a sad state of affairs our club at the moment isnt it.:
We have lost our last 4 game by
Titans by 2
Raiders by 6
Roosters by 1
Bulldogs by 2
Now besides the fact weve lost all those games ordinarily the points difference in the matches is bugger all one would say, and some would point the finger at Lomax for missing to many shots at girl... but still we know this problem runs far deeper than just us losing by the barest of margins dont we.....I think its fair to say if we hadnt just been through the Price, McGregor and Griffin pain and suffering over a number of years we would be a little more tolerant and understanding of todays situation.
