Right - hence, they've been active since 1995 without a premiership. Same goes with Titans 2007. How do you expect them to win one before then? Their premiership drought extends back to their inception which in both cases is not as far back as 1986.

My apologies, I misinterpreted your intent in the post. I thought you were listing the GF winners and the period of time since they had won. Carry on.

Yeah this is an interesting one. Funnily enough the NRL list the New Zealand Warriors as being established in 1995 - which I guess is right, they have continuously existed albeit under different owners since then.

They curiously list the Gold Coast Titans as being established in 1999 - this is strange because 1999 was the first year that no Gold Coast club competed in the top flight since 1988 and it remained that way until the Titans' debut in 2007. Maybe the defunct Chargers became the Titans in 1999 but then you would think they would just list them as established 1988.

whilst it is true that no team has won after conceding 50 ... it is only due to goal kicking.

Newcastle are the closet - in 2001 they conceded 49 to the Sharks in Round 22 - Mat Rogers kicking 8 from 11.

So it is true but only just.

Roosters conceded 48pts to Melbourne in 2002 with Matt Orford kicking 5 from 8 so that one was close also but Newcastle were one point closer to the record nearly being beaten.

If they didn't do that 50 minute warm up in 50 degrees then they wouldn't have conceded 50 points. It was that 60 minute warm up in 60 degree heat that killed them.

Fancy making a team warm up in 70 degree heat for 70 minutes. The coach should have been sacked.
