I know Sterlo gets praised for being one of the games most respected analysts but he has made some shocking calls over the years. I was doing some reading and I came across this one that has aged like milk (made back in 2019).

Goes to show the merkins whinging about our premiership window closing are talking out their arses. As if you only get one premiership window in a decade. If your club is well resourced enough you should only spend a year on rebuilding every five or six years. Otherwise you're constantly challenging for premierships. Are we this well resourced? Hopefully we're getting there.

I disagree. I think alls not well in Bondi at the moment. Teddy has collapsed down the ranking and I think they are finding it difficult to move him on. In times gone by, he’d already be out the door and Manu would be their fullback
The only other alternative is Manu signalled he was leaving back then. In which, it’s still a case of Rorters failing to convince him to stay.

Whatever they pay for anyone is probably too much. They are the Dragons ffs. Why would a player go there if the offer was no higher than from a stronger club?
However it would be foolish to sign him on big coin based on his potential, considering he has been playing NRL FG since 2016.
Well there have been 3 clubs now that have paid him a big money contract.
I wouldn’t call it potential. He is already one of the most talented forwards in the game. He just needs consistency, which comes with maturity. Yes he’s a risk, but a risk worth taking for certain clubs.

I think of potential as more the qualities that a youngster is yet to develop. Strength, skill, awareness. Stuff like that. I suppose if you consider consistency one of those then you are technically right.
