The thing with these smaller coins I would worry about is if a group of wealthy scammers created them.
They buy a heap so the price increases and gives it value and then sell them off slowly and walk away with 10x the money.

It’s just typical of you throwing a grenade with a stupid Twitter post from some lefty with a softer c**k than yours.
Actually the Twitter dude has a point. But it needs to be compared to the generation of other currencies.

They have to jump through some hoops to be a "crypto"

But yeah there can be bad ones and good ones .... its not too hard to find some advice about what the good ones are .... some have already shot their load though - might still go up, but not ridiculous amounts like the bitcoin .... but they could???

I actualy worked with a guy who was dumb enough to beleive the Nigerians.
I heard a story of an old guy from Sydney who took the bait from one of those emails. It was a woman looking for companionship. After months of emailing with a woman, she (of course) needed cash for her mother’s operation or something. She he sent the money. Then sent some more. He got jack of it and ceased communication with the woman. A month later he was contacted by the Nigerian Feds and said they were going to get his money back for him. After many emails they said that he should travel to India to pick up the cash personally. So he did. When he got there he met the Feds and they gave him his cash with an apology.

Old merkin arrived back in Sydney only to find....

Elderly Sydney man charged in cocaine scam

A 91-year-old Sydney man has been charged with importing cocaine after he apparently fell victim to a scam.
The Australian Federal Police said the Epping man carried 27 bars of soap, filled with about 4.5kg of cocaine, on a flight from New Delhi to Sydney on July 8.
The case has prompted warnings to travellers to pack their luggage carefully and be wary of inadvertently becoming drug couriers for overseas criminal syndicates.

The man has been charged with importing a commercial quantity of a border controlled drug and is due to face Sydney Central Local Court on Tuesday.
"Luggage is a personal responsibility. If you've been asked to carry something on behalf of another person, be sure you know exactly what is inside," ABF Regional Commander NSW, Tim Fitzgerald said in a statement.
AFP Acting National Manager Aviation Wayne Buchhorn said travellers should be aware that if they knowingly, or unwittingly, bring drugs back into the country they may be charged.
The maximum penalty for drug importation is life imprisonment.
