I was reading up on anti-seize and it’s basically a grease with very very tiny abrasive bits.

What happens is that these bits create little bumpy gaps which facilitate distance from the two surfaces and hence purport to prevent binding and melding etc.

A drawback seems to be that it’s not Uber environmentally sound

So use sparingly and remember, a little goes a long way.

As to the latter, my new ripoff toll beeper thing arrived this week and I have applied anti-seize to the plasticky bits so I can remove it with ease later on.

That will hopefully save it from snapping off when it comes time to remove it permanently when the state government eventually buys out the exploitative tolls roads and makes them free for all.

I think I’ll get the stone Mason to cut this image of the toll pass screw up of an easy thing followed by dodgy and dangerous repair work as my epitaph.

But at least I knew I’d make a meal of it. I know my limits.

But I’m smart enough to get my frustrated mechanic new business (where I can) and pay him in full when he asks. Then I gave him a nice Google review.
