Think of a family with a few kids. Parents have fallen out of love and rather then cheat on each other or break up, loose the family home and kids be raised in a split family they decide to keep it all together but enjoy the fruits of other humans. The kids don't need to know and financial reasons means everyone is in a better position.

If we where all raised to believe ENM was the standard we all would be fine with it. Just how we've been conditioned id say.

My opinion is as valid as anyone else's. Consent is a false god. People don't make good decisions just because they've turned 18. Some people never do.

It allows people to avoid fixing all the other problems in their lives. For other problems, like mental health, it makes them worse. Plus promiscuity is just wrong.

So are you saying the government should subsidise it for the people who can’t find it themselves? Is it a human right or not? I think it’s bullshit. Nobody needs sex. This idea itself is harmful.

Sure. Having consent as the only standard assumes people aren't broken, useless and desperate to escape from reality. It follows then that they are rational actors making all the best choices for their own wellbeing and not becoming a burden on society.

So are you advocating that consent alone is not enough, e.g. for sexual acts between consenting adults? If so, what is your proposed additional safeguard to protect people from themselves?

Or are you advocating (dangerously) that consent is faulty, so it is irrelevant and can be ignored...?
