...bit like test cricket?

mind you I love Test cricket.

I am a cricket tragic.

Been to UK for last 2 ashes series.

But you still see heaps more action at the cricket then Baseball.

I must have copped a shit match there were 2 runs in the 1st innings and nothing else for the next 9.

The cubs won 2-0 over the Bluejays.

It was more swing and miss or get caught stuff.

Baseball is shit - don't rate the sport.

I’m not having a go at him, he definitely deserves it and doesn’t get drafted unless he’s a good player, but… he’s a product of what @Suitman has mentioned about soccer previously. His parents were able to pay for all the extra training where kids who were better couldn’t. It’s the way the world is but still

Agree about entitlement, however I heard a merkin from the Ku-ring-gai Steelers say that his 1st draft pick was ahead of 40,000 eligible players. If if that figure is OTT, it is still a massive achievement.

Yeah and he is that good, but it’s indicative of the way baseball is going here and it’ll be even more impactful than it is in soccer. Mainly because as poorly as soccer can be run here, baseball makes it look like Oceans 11 in tactical planning and execution.
