He played for Cabramatta in Jim Beam Cup for the last couple of years and Wests Jersey Flegg before that.

Just heard that Norths have got Danny Casa from the tigers SG Ball squad this year. Its a big loss for Balmain, he's a very good young prop (who will probably end up in the backrow at some point).

do you know why he was cut from balmain ?

I have no idea.

But he sounds like a good player. He won Balmain's Harold Matts player of 2004 and played SG Ball last year which is more than a lot of our other players have done.

So what a player has achived in the past, means more than what has happened in the present?
It doesn't necessarily mean they are a better player but it does give them good credentials.
Obviously present form would be taken into account by the coaching staff.

How many players from the SG Ball train-on squad were cut?

I very much doubt Danny Casa WAS cut from Balmain - he was very highly rated at the club. I don't yet know exactly who is responsible for letting him go but he is not the first talented player we have lost to other clubs for various reasons mostly related to the fact that the Balmain management doesn't have a clue.

Not to sure yet, at least four I think & it was a team. Have a look at the comments in your poll on the mightybears web site, I think it's well documented that the team had been selected.

Can anyone tell me how the Vengoa twins are going at SG Ball?
I played against the 5/8 at school level, and he is pretty good.

I think they were signed by St George.

The North Sydney Bears Premier League have won the Leagues Club Challenge Cup by defeating the Tweed Heads QLD Cup side 14 to 10.

Did you rate either of them?
And has Kimon Tellidis made the final squad of SG Ball?
I never saw them play. But i would have liked to see them stay, they had been at Norths for a couple of years.

I'm not sure yet on the final SG Ball squad.

That'd probably explain it. He was a member of the WestsTigers Cubs team that toured the Northern Territory in the off season and he was also man of the match in Holy Cross' U/18's Grand Final win in the Balmain junior League, so his form on the park must have been up to scratch. I'm surprised he's not getting much of a run for the Bears SG Ball side, they seem to be struggling big time at the moment.
