So who are some Aussies playing County Cricket at the moment. Listening to Kim Hughes on ABC Radio last night threw up Chris Rogers. Is dud fit?

I dont see the point of playing any of the other players as openers so Katich should play as all the likely opening options are fighting for spots in the middle-lower order

Clarke, Hilfenhaus and Hauritz should all miss for starters, Haddin probably as well

Katich, Hughes, Ponting, Hussey, North, McDonald, Watson, Manou, Johnson, Siddle, Clark

Haddin might have to play as a batsman if Watson isnt fit

I'd rest Katich and open with Hussey or Watson just to see if either of them are capable of opening the batting.... Hughes should be retained for the series but if he can't score runs up top the Aussies will need to make a change if they don't win a match. Johnson will play he needs some bowling to get his form back...

I'd prefer Siddle, Johnson, Lee and Clark as the bowling attack. Watson and McDonald in as batters. If Ponting is confident enough to rest then Manou can take over as keeper if not Hussey or Hughes will need to keep.
