November 1 is fast approaching 47 days away after listening to the Dragons Den podcast seems as though we have our guns loaded. But what about 2026??? Who comes in to improve the squad.
Should this just be posted in the Season 2026 thread

Rads is going to face court.

He allegedly puts players lives at risk.

If it’s true, he clearly doesn’t understand the dangers of illicit drugs and that the same drug in the same quantity can have different effects on different people.

One bad batch is all it takes to cause irreversible brain damage or death.

I’m surprised he doesn’t know this.

Youd think he was on good money.

I’ve seen a chronically drug effected person in an old folks home. Terrible sight, I won’t forget it. Life sentence.

Maybe the NRL should be more pro-active and show players first hand what can happen if they play Russian roulette with illicit drugs.

Which is not to say Rads can’t come back, maybe he can learn and turn it around, make good of it somehow.

But any young dragons reading, whatever you do, respect yourself, family, friends and society and give all that shite a big miss.
Victor Radley is getting charged or your mean nrl judiciary?

Guys like Elliot would be blocking the path for our younger fwds. We already have Kerr, don't need another journeyman. I'm not tying up 2027 salary cap into journeyman players. Whether we like it or not, we're not going to 'recruit' our way out of our current situation. It'll be through development & juniors, we've already started well with our future fwds. The next focus should be on the outside backs & spine players.

Our recruitment should be for specific targets in the future which will be clearer after the 2026 season. We hope that Atko guns it at hb but he might not or he might be needed elsewhere, say fullback. LKT might have a transformative off-season & lock himself into the 5/8th role. Someone like Jesse Williams or Sloan might catapult themselves into quality 1st grade wingers or Nick T into a centre with another off-season of development. Many unknowns in this team apart from our future fwd stocks.

We need to stop thinking about top 8 & plan for top 4, otherwise we'll end up like newcastle. Treading water in the top 8 then bottom out into nothing. Only being in the top 4 gives you genuine chance at sustained premiership glory. I want premiership glory, not treading water as a top 8 team.
For 2026 and beyond, the only forward we need is a marquee prop.
If Tamsey if fit, then we have the fullback we need.
It will have to be Atkinson and LKT ntil Reed is ready for first grade.
Gutherson and Homes in the centers.
So the head scratching is who will be our wingers.

We've already got Kerr who would play a similar role to uele, he's younger and in better form. Uele will turn 31 in Jan, another older recruit. He plays 25ish mins & the game is trending towards more mobile fwds, he isn't a mobile fwd. If we hadn't sign Kerr then I can see some merit in trying to recruit uele.

If we play uele and Kerr, it'll be a similar issue with our line speed & lack of mobility through the middle. It's also using a roster spot & $$$ in an area where we have good depth.

I'd rather keep klemmer for another year who would be cheaper, played well for us this year & wouldn't be a roadblock long term. I doubt uele will leave the sharks for a 1yr deal with us.
We have to sign a marquee prop.
