Everybody has been fairly emotional about Ali's departure of late. Now that it has been confirmed that he is going, who in your opinion should the Warriors target for next year? They may have a bit to spend as Ali was reported to be the 2nd highest player at the Warriors behind Stacey Jones.

A 5/8? second rower? winger?fullback?prop?

Props, definitely.

We are losing Jerry and Tooks at the end of the year which leaves our front row resources pretty slim for next year.

Also a class standoff and winger wouldn't go amiss although I hope to see PJ play at standoff when he comes back.

A. Lauitiiti

Unfortunately we'll have to take the non Lauitiiti's - Among the crem da la crem are Morrison, Adam Woolnough and Stringer from Souths.

But still for mine, Lauitiiti. Once were Warriors, always a Warrior.

go no further than bartercard cup.

must be a young kiwi.
But the Warriors have a lot of money to spend now. Unless they are gonna throw more than 200k a year at some young player i think they will have to look at someone in the NRL or ESL. Id be looking at a pretty good prop WITH experience. When we lose Jerry next year its gonna be a pretty big loss. We definately need someone with experience and a steady head in the same vein as Campion.

I believe they should give players in the Batercard a contract. Mannering form Wellington......they want him bad!! $200,000 can buy 8 Bartercard players and stop them going over to aussie...If tookey starts to play well then he will be offered a contract!

Maybe buy some british players? Our latest aussie havent done anything at all.....

Go all out for Glenn Morrison. He would be a great buy for the club. The club definitely needs to revise it's forwards stocks.

Sure, there should be a fair few BC juniors in there. But that old formula of a good hard aussie battler (or a couple) in the mix was certainly a winner. I hate people going on about the Campion-Cleary departures but it just makes sense to have some hardened veterans in the mix of this relatively young side.

I'm gonna throw another name into the mix that I think would be ULTRA valuable to the Warriors.

Experienced, a winner, that Aussie determination, that Kiwi identification....

Brad....
Thorn

Broncos are rumoured to be talking to him, there's no tampering policy to stop him from being a target of the Warriors... NOW! Talk to him for next season and the season after, Brad Thorn could do a Campion job for us, plus he has some of Lauitiiti's ball skills.

I was just thinking of him myself. Geez, it would be a huge signing and it will put some credibility back into our forward pack.

But with Thorn you get a bidding war, not just from the Broncos but from the other inferior code as well.

I'd like to know when Sullivan is meant to be back at full fitness. The guys got big potential and we saw glimpses of some of the things he was capable of when he played last. He could be our next ball playing forward coming through.

It's going to be a long wait to see where the money goes.

He's got to get I would assume more confidence in the knee by playing a fair bit of Bartercard young Sullivan, but without a shadow of a doubt he has the ability to be one of our very best ever forwards.

I believe he's currently playing for Mt Albert in Bartercard and has been on the opposite side of the front row to Mark Tookey.

Brad Thorne will not go back to league as long as theres an AB jersey waiting for him.

On the other Hand Big Sam Tui'topou has expressed numerous times for his love of League...

We dont have to buy another 2nd rower with the form Lauaki's been in recently, maybe we could try to get Carlaw back..

Ali Lauiti'iti. Or Nathan Hindmarsh.

word. Hindy is becoming one of the NRLs best second rowers, if not the best. He is smart, unlike several warriors fowards and he'd be a calming influence of sorts on the team.
