Even just last week he is still making his pathetic reference to his beard and you'd think as time goes on he'd want to escape all that bullsh*t and show everyone that he more than just a beard but he still feeds of it. I'm enjoying watching him unravel.

It is an absolute joke that he played rep football for NSW and Australia. Just goes to show what can happen when the media embraces one of their little 'darlings'..

Maybe davey should put the media career aside and concentrate on footy for awhile. He is a talented player maybe he just needs to get back to basics for awhile. Seeing ppl lay into him breaks my heart.

Define talented? He has basic skills. Someone like Jarryd Hayne would be considered talented.

The beard is a gymick that has run it's course. It's time to assess his ability as a league player. And it's there for all to see at the moment.

Iin my experience he's a sweetheart. Ive also seen how amazing he is around fans and little kids where alot of players can be really unapproachable and dickish .and that's why I get a bit sad seeing ppl rip into him.

I understand the mans preference was to leave the beard off after last year GF. He was talked into growing it back by teammates advising him to run with the "wolfman" persona due to the marketing $ potential. Considering the small size of his current contract, i can understand why he would listen to that. In short, I think it is unfair that he is canned for running with something the media created.

Playing sh*te and playing for Manly.......fair enough.

It's a shame what the media can do to some players.

Personally I thought he was a Michael Robertson/Steve Turner clone in 2008 with a harmless gimmick as the Wolfman. If anything he was good publicity for Rugby League as people were complaining about a lack of characters.

His selection in the Australian side was a little dubious but expected considering the selectors seem to reward premiership sides with automatic Australian selection (unless they're Matt Orford - Thank God).

The only time Williams' fame got the better of him was when he was selected in the New South Wales side after a dissapointing start to the season. His selection wasn't warranted and he proved it in his two appearances against the Maroons.

Aside from his embarrassing Origin display, I think he's a very solid winger who's enjoying a mixed season. What he did last night was embarrasing but unlike our so called 'talents' didn't hurt the game overall and in a few years time will be forgotten by the vast majority.

West Tigers started to target him with kicks and runners..he looked very shaky, which will not go unnoticed by Manly's semi final opponents..Bozo definitely got him the gig for his rep duties.
Best if they drop him when the groper returns and put Robertson on the wing.
