being a manly supporter ia am happy for him to be wearing the no 5 jumper for the eagles - not the best year but geez he isn't the only one that has followed a great first year with a poor second year.

The game needs more characters imo.
thats fine but when you have 2nd rate footballers being made out to be superstars because of their unusual appearance (Daine Laurie, Wolfhack, Reynoldson) it gets abit ridiculous.
If he wants to be a character thats fine but its not fine when he goes into origin camp and he's talking about his beard instead of being focused on the job at hand, hence why he played like a complete busted.
The bloke is an over rated hack, I've said it since last year when he got selected for Australia and played like a hack in the final. He's a flat track bully who goes ok when things are fine but when the pressures on he crumbles.
I mean you know the blokes a hack when Phil Rothfield props him up, "ideally suited for origin" or something like that was what Buzz said about him, and I think QLDers would definately agree with that statement.

Your a f**king joke buddy, Williams earned his rep spots cause he has been awesome for manly, i can admit he has been sh*t house since his origin appearance, but you are suggesting he was picked cause he has a beard. You should probably sit back and read the sh*t you are writing before u press submit reply.

How was he any better than Michael Robertson, Darius Boyd, Jarryd Hayne, Denan Kemp (based on 2008 form)?
How on earth can you explain him getting picked in origin 3 ahead of brett Morris?
How many blokes get a kangaroo jumper after 20 matches?
He gets this reputation based on a beard, now that he's shaved watch him not play rep footy ever again.

Because Williams is unhappy at a low contract, Manly had nowhere to go with the cap, Williams is off contract this year and Manly want to keep him, Fulton is a selector, Fulton has a close association with Manly, Rep players get decent match payments which are outside of the cap.......at a minimum, it sounds as logical as the existence of a beard. Sounds like your mind is made up though.

dropped it once again.

It was a tough one but not sure why he didn't use his foot to stop it... he must be incredibly down on confidence.

He is, he looked shattered after the game last week. He's had a shocker of a year after winning a priemiership and he should be better next year. Not that I think he's going well now, the opposition gameplan wouldn't be too hard to work out with Tony and Dave on the wings. Personally I thought Tony letting Souths run through and score was worse than anything Dave did tonight.

He's trying too hard now I think. He's trying to pull off the impossible play because he is down on confidence. Then when he makes one mistake, he tries to make up for it, and they're compounding, when really, the best way to make up for a dropped ball is catching the next one.
