He's right, that's a complete farce. Are they handing out points for losing sides now? So did Tedesco poll points? Reminds of when we flogged Manly, and someone from their team got a point.

Honestly the whole system is a complete joke, players getting 6 points, 4 points or whatever. Go back to the basic 3,2,1 and reveal yourself as the judge.

At least Ruan stepped down and admitted it was a mistake

"I want to clarify my position following recent discussion on Dally M votes that I cast for the match between the Eels and Sea Eagles on Sunday 22 April," she wrote on Twitter.

"As has been mentioned, I did play at Southern Cross Group Stadium on 22 April. There was a late change in my playing schedule and this meant I was unable to attend the Eels vs Sea Eagles match live.

"I understand that there is a requirement to watch matches live when judging for Dally M points.

"I respect the game and imprtantly, I value the integrity of the game above all else. My mistake was an honest one, albeit a mistake that I should not have made.

"For this reason, I have made the decision to stand down as a Dally M judge.

"Being a Dally M judge was a role I was honoured to take on and it's a role I respect enormously. It's for that reason I have made this decision, as the integrity of the awards should be protected at all times."

Dally M points are one of the worst ways to score.

It's been pointed out countless times if you're in a team with multiple good players, the points get split, whereas a team with a single standout (like the Sharks with Hayne or the Knights with Ponga) sees that player dominate the votes. As a result, an individual can win the medal even if they don’t truly deserve it.
