That's like saying England under 16s,18s & academy is weird...the knights is the bridge to the full test side..

Everyone whinges that the English,Australian & kiwi test teams don't play enough 2nd tier games...and to a extent I agree...but you know sometimes it's physically impossible to play everyone lol 'A' teams from eng,aus & nz provide that step up and gives them games...and let's not be delusional! Australia 'A' would be ranked top 3 and the knights probably 4th maybe 5th..

Trust me id love nothing more than for the knights and Aussie 'A' to get spanked..that'll prove the 2ND tier need to progress to playing against the full sides more regularly..but As it stands, since png shocked a couple of touring sides 30 years ago...since then it's been 1 draw and 2 wins, against the same poor kiwi side!

No it's not, it's a team that Steve McNamara made up because he's a f**king hopeless coach and needs to do this stuff to convince people that he's some type of visionary and innovator. England Knights did NOTHING to help the England RL national team. And even if it did, I wouldn't sacrifice the integrity of the international game for that.

How would you feel if Oldham were playing in a league with Wigan reserves, Hull reserves etc? Do you think many fans would be happy about that?

Get off the drugs your English nrl players saved you fellas the gap isn't far. Super league knights whatever they are would struggle against png. England don't have that much depth so that comment is silly. NRL develop the best thats how it is and will be in the future.

We should be talking about getting more games for the likes of Italy, USA and Canada, but instead we don’t even know if two of this year’s semi-finalists will be playing this time next year.

If there is a test against NZ, Australia should play Tonga the week after.

Then there should be a Pacific Cup with PNG, Tonga, Samoa and Fiji.

Lebanon can play a 3 Test series in France and Ireland can do the same for Wales.

That covers all the main teams.

England 'Knights' entry into the Euro 6N has been apparently confirmed.

The RLEF must rule that all matches in the tournament will be counted as ranked test matches, meaning the Knights results are counted as England. Otherwise - as much as I hate the word - the tournament descends into farce.
You simply can not have a tournament where half the games have Test status and the other half don't, for the benefit of 1 team.

That was the past when we didnt have depth what happen a year later in the four nations when we did have the depth and players. You are not the Australians you are on the same level as us.

I'd suggest you are on the same level as a severely depleted Scotland team..what score was it? 14-14?

I've no problem with the knights,Australia 'A' & NZ 'A' being given test status.. :)

No, what should happen is the RLEF should refuse to sanction the tournament and withdraw insurance from any teams playing against England Knights. Or we just make it an 'A' team competition, which in practice it will be now anyway because there's no way in hell top professional players are going to put their hand up to play against England Knights, and all the European nations get the year off.

Lol that's so ridiculous, why do you think players or fans or anyone else should treat the competition with respect when you're literally saying that all the other nations are second-rate and should be happy to be playing against England's reserves. Why would players or anyone want to be a part of that? And then you're trying to sell tickets to watch them in the World Cup in four years. Idiotic, get your head out of your ass.

Like I said, would you be happy if Oldham were playing in a closed shop league with Wigan and Hull's reserves? Or if England were playing against NZ 'A' in the test series next year? That would be totally legit and acceptable and we should all be excited about it according to you?

I understand the England Knights argument but the Knights will provide that extra quality that Ireland, Wales and France need to compete against. Hopefully it is a short term fix to develop the Euro nations. Let's not be too harsh on our developing game. The RU Pacific Nations Cup has been played annually since 2006 - in the early days Australia A, Junior All Blacks and NZ Maori competed in the tournament for quite a few years alongside the full test nations of Tonga, Fiji and Samoa.

Lol no, the Ireland, Wales and France teams will be reserve teams. I expect maybe 2 or 3 of Ireland's WC squad at most will play and France will be looking at 15-20 pullouts again. England Knights will win every match by 60 points. This is not a new thing or just me guessing, this is something that has been happening since 2003 and will continue to happen because the people who control the sport at international level are pig-headed idiots who just do not f**king learn. We actually had a decent European Cup back in 2005 once they pulled England 'A' out and then again in 2009, and in both cases they scrapped it after one year.
