you may want to check your own facts..

the gong is part of the dragons junior area... so yes, they are dragons juniors...

down the gong way is technically steeler juniors as they have steelers junior sides where st george cover the southern sydney part i think thats what people r getting at

Yes we are enjoying our 16th premiership (we'll run you filthy mixos down even accounting for your start of 13 years ;-) 1908) However at the same time we can also enjoy the tragic soap opera that is SOuffs.

You are an absolute joke.. You can not claim to have those players as juniors as they fall under the "St George Illawarra Dragons" banner and then in your next post count all the "St George Dragons" premiership wins under the newly formed club "St George Illawarra Dragons". You lost all records and history when u muppets decided to merge! The team u follow now have won their first premiership- end of story!

Straight up, I think two things...

1) There will be a deal done between souths and the NRL on Inglis where they will let half of the third party agreements through, but the other half will be capped.

2) In thinking that it's always the player you least suspect will be released, I think it'll be JOHN SUTTON who leaves the club. I think this for a few reasons. 1) He's expensive. 2) He'd be in demand 3) He's approaching that age 4) He's said he'll test the market next year when he comes off contract 5) There are young halves Reynolds and Mundine knocking on the first grade door at souths.............

That's the way I see it.....Sutton could earn an absolute motza in the ESL, and other clubs like the cowboys and eels would be interested. I'm surprised his name hasn't been bandied about thus far actually.....

Is that the best you Souths supporters have? We can claim exactly that. Where is it written that all St. George history was written off when they merged? If we don't have any St. George history then how come all the media was stating that it was 31 years since the Dragons had won the comp? St. George still exist that is why the players still wear the Big Red V, that is why they still play 'when the Saints go marching in'. That is why they still play games out of Kogarah.

Actually makes no difference whether other supporters claim it as our first premiership or 16th because unlike Souths both pre-merger and post merger Saints have been successful on the field. And I am not just talking about premierships. Saint George now St. George Illawarra are consistently making the top 8 year in, year out. See that is the difference between Souths and Saints, while Saints are proud of their history pre/post merger we actually don't live in it today. Maybe if Souths while being proud of their history actually moved on and concentrated on being a competitive force on the field today(or any time in the last 30 years), maybe if they stopped telling everyone what they were going to do and actually did, then maybe just maybe people would show them a bit more respect.

He won't go, we don't have a replacement for him, and we just spent so much time getting our halves in order

Dragons01 - mate change the second last line reference from 30 to 40 years that far more accurate now....... Funniest thing is most rabbitohs dribblers on here wouldn't have seen the last Souths premiership it was circa when man walked on the moon give or take a year or two.

That's a bit contradictory isn't it? I mean according to some on here Saints history only goes back to 1999 - so which is it? Saints first premiership in 10 years of existance or Saints 16th?

It is not about winning one every couple of years, nearly impossible these days it is about being competitive over a long period of time. And while it was a while since Saints actually won a comp, they have at least made grand finals and been more than competitive since the 1979 GF win which the same cannot be said about Souths.

Last time I looked they were the St. George Illawarra Dragons that incorporates the Illawarra and the St. George area so therefore any junior from Illawarra or the St. George area are Dragons juniors. Thought it was pretty self explanatory by the name St. George Illawarra Dragons. I think you will also find that those players from the gong as you say not only played their junior football in the Illawarra but also made their first grade debuts for St. George Illawarra, so unless I am missing something they are all St. George Illawarra juniors.
oh ok i accept that, cos it means you accept that st george do not exist in the nrl by themselves any more, which means you accept that you have won your first premiership last year? also terrible by souths to release champion when he was used as an incentive to bring inglis down here if i am correct??

St George guys. Give us a break from your nonsense please. If you want to talk your club up do it in your own forum, this is getting old, fast.

Bit harsh on the other boys getting pushed aside to accommodate G.I.

Crocker won't leave beacuse no one will take him on the coin he's on at the moment. Lowe or Champion might get snapped up by other clubs but I wouldn't like to see them go.

The bonehead decision to re-sign Wesser has come back to bite them in the bum. They should never offered him another contract.

The bunnies may have to wait to 2012 to sign him, but I don't think he'd be willing to go elsewhere for a season and come back to the bunnies. He may go to union overseas for a season but who knows what shape he'd come back in.

Interesting to see how this pans out.

Wow, thanks for reminding us. Must make you proud to point that out. Maybe we should go into the Sharks, Cowboys and Warriors forums and remind them how many premierships they've won.

We could but we won't. We're not wankers.

Yep our team has been mostly crap for 40 years and we'll follow them til the day we die.

It is not nonsense just common sense. But I get your point and you are correct we really should leave you guys alone to debate the mess your club has found itself in.

Anyway all good and if by some miracle Souths do jag a premiership in 2011 then I will be one of the first ones in here congratulating you.

Merry Christmas fellow league followers.

have to agree with that.!! always dragons and rooters plebs trolling the souths section.

also have to agree with the st george ILLAWARRA dragons first premeirship
comments. dragons jibberers always leaving the STEELERS premeirship out. cant have both. the steelers fans will argue that hardcore.

back on topic. inglis just needs to get his tool of a manager on the same page or sack him. news reports state 3rd party deal was amended without gainey being present. thats because the farkwit was away in the middle of possibly his biggest contract negotiations. me thinks this guy is a big part of the problem. gainey wants inglis to go to AFL or french rugby to up his commision. how else can that grub spoobert know what he is claiming.
anyway im confident richo and pappas have a well thought out plan b.

I'm not a big fan of GI, but I'd prefer you guys got him over the other choices, without letting anyone go.
