NRL Fantasy Coach 2025

Hey all, last year we ran a supercoach comp and all involved had a ball.
I've heard via the grape vine that Ned Kelly is so keen for this year to start that he's that he's firming as the favourite.
We'll try to get as many of our forum to play first before opening it up to other forums so I'll message you all shortly to see if you want to join in the fun.
Not only is it a great way to exercise your judgement but it's also a great way to know how good players from other clubs are going and have caught your eye.
I used to only watch the Tigers games but now I find I'm watching all the games with interest.
You don't have to be Einstein to play supercoach and if you forget to adjust your team during the week there is a chance you could still win your round. Just back your instincts....easy.

Hey guys and girls, as promised I've started up an NRL Fantasy Coach Head 2 Head comp for primarily the Wests Tigers Forum. We'll open it up to other forums if we need more players.
Just msg me for the joining code.
To enter:
Create an NRL account if you haven't already done so. It's free.
Once logged in go to menu and join league, enter code and your in.
There is also an app if you don't want to use a browser.
Start building your team and for memory on Tuesday afternoon prior to rd 1 you will see your opponent.
Results will be posted here plus banter.
Any questions keep it in this thread or msg me.
We had a ball last year and it's not rocket science.
There are prizes on offer too.

For those who have joined or about to join, once you've entered the code you click My Leagues and LU Wests Tigers will show up as our Head 2 Head comp where we play against each other and the other comp is the Tigers Official Competition in which your team plays against all the NRL combatants.
Details of your weekly rival won't be available until a few days before the start of the rd so just keep working on the make-up of your team.
I sent most of our wests tigers forum members an invite so could you be so kind to respond and let me know in a message if you want to play or not.
If I've missed you, I'm very sorry and your more than welcome to join in the fun.

Where it says team name I can see 16 of them. Apart from you and me there are 14 names I don't recognize. That's either great marketing Nutz or I am misunderstanding that page.

There's 16 players so far Ned. Because you couldn't get messages I had to divulge the joining code, so we've ended up with you, me, tiger05, pezz and the rest are from other forums. Can you delete or edit your reply to me that shows the code. That way the last two slots can go to our forum members if they want to join.

Nine match-ups each rd is awesome, and we'll have some fun for sure.
On the official NRL website, there are links to Fantasy Coach social media like Facebook, etc, where you can chat to like-minded footy nuts.
There is also an extensive help page that is worth a read to help you have a more enjoyable and successful experience.

When the footy starts you'll see both you and your opponents progress points so that's when it gets a bit tense

Lads just a couple of questions.

What's the difference between a trade and a substitution? I can see there's limits to the amount of trades you can make but substitutions appear to be open slather. From what I can see it looks a sub is like for like position? So a fullback swap for a different fullback. Whereas a trade looks to be a different positional changes. Is that right or have I missed the point?

Also, if you go over the salary cap as the value of the team changes, is that a free trade (or sub) or do you have to use a trade for that? If it's a trade and you've used them all for the particular period, and are over the cap, what happens? Does it just automatically dock you a player randomly or something?

A trade us where you replace a player completely out of your team and a substitute is like bringing someone off your bench into the starting side, sort of. You only get limited trades so be careful. I try to only trade out 1 player per Rd but sometimes it's unavoidable to use max trades.
Players get points as do reserves but emergency players don't earn points unless you substitute them for run on squad or the reserves. It's simply a way of trying to get you best squad without wasting trades.
When your selecting players a good way to not go over the cap is to click on a drop down box that says filter players who I can afford, there are other filters that are useful too

My understanding is a trade is removing a player from your squad and buying a different player. If it is a player in your starting 13 it has to be the same position. A substitution is moving someone from your starting 17 to the bottom four players in bringing someone up from the bottom. Or just swapping players from bench to top 13. In this case they have to be the same position.

Reading what I just said I can't follow my own instructions.

If you team value increases by $2m your team value stays that high.
