My cunning plan backfired spectacularly this week! I traded out Metcalf for Hosking with the leftover funds from my round 1 team. Metcalf then scored 64 to get back at me and Hosking went 53 and then broke his hand in sympathy with Metcalf.

Not taking it at all personally of course.

Up the Rabbitohs eh? :D

I reckon next season we incorporate a tipping contest for those who like a simple version of following the other games?

hey mate you could have got Cole out of you emergency slot where he doesn't score pts and into the 17. You do this by clicking on the three dots and you'll see an up and down arrow. This way you can move him up in the 17. Can't see them now because of lockout.
Debelin could have come down to emerg players as well and move someone up.
You can only sub a play with a same position player so you jusy have to move players around until you maximise your scoring potential.
My superstition is i put my lowest scorers from previous week at the bottom and work my way up. If they don't increase in money after 3 straight rds I trade them out.
Yeo was a good choice of captain in this rd imo.
Hope that helps a bit.

So far I have the second least points for this round but I'm confident of a come back.
Signing a player who scored in the 60's last week to score in the 30's this week didn't help

Thanks nutz. I wasn't aware you could do subs that way. I thought it had to be a straight up position for position swap, which I did with Val Holmes and starfish toa this week. I'll have to play around with that next time it comes up - which will probs be next week. I must admit I didn't really understand the importance of varying the emergency positions until we started playing. I was struggling with cap and didn't think much more than staying under.

Are you saying you can change who your captain is week to week? Again I had no idea you could do that unless you traded them out completely.

Absolutely you can change your captain and vcaptain.
I look at who they are playing and how they'll go against a certain team. For example if Haas was playing against a week fwd pack he'd be my captain but if it's going to be a high scoring opportunity say Panthers v the old Tigers I would make clearey captain.
It's important to have reserves that are cheap but not all the one position. That way a cheap halfback could score if a reg half goes tits up during warm ups.
The first thing I do is use the down arrow and sub button to put players on byes right down the bottom then work my my way up so all my 17 are scorers.
I don't finalise my team till an hour prior kick off in case of late changes.
