Gutho + Val + Cook > Hunt + Lomax + Bird

Plus a few young forwards with another year of development and pushing for a spot (Couchmen et al)

It's only November but I'm more confident of us making the top 8 than last season. I can understand why their logic in it with no 7 yet though.

They had us for the spoon last year at this time as well. In fact they had a special guessing how many games we’d manage to win this year.

I remember the odds being at $1.20 for us to win 4 or more games throughout the whole of 2024.

But the agencies are basically putting their money where their mouth is in the sense that we don't have a recognised number 7 on the books now that Hunt has departed.

Should we make a couple of more solid recruits, these odds will change immediately. I've no doubt that by January Flanno will want to have locked down a first grade standard prop and half.

We cant really make predictions until we sign that 7 at a bare minimum.. throw in a half decent prop if we can land one.. and then I think we can make our assessments.. the final spot will just be a little bit of gravy on top.

Parra would be the only team I think comparable to us roster-wise, maybe the Raiders.. rest of the nrl r in a much better spot.
