NRL in UK

My brother has bucked the normal migration trend and moved from Australia to England.

Wondering if anyone over there has tried to use the NRL app to stream games? I couldn't use it when I was in Thailand. So I'm thinking there are separate agreements for digital distribution across different countries.

Has anyone used the app successfully? Or does anyone know of an alternative subscription that he can arrange that works? I know he can trawl though illegal streams but I think he'd prefer the full content.

I don't think you can use the app in a country where the NRL have a broadcast arrangement. The NRL is shown on Premier Sports, a subscription channel. They show every NRL match, SoO, the PI Tests and the Australia v New Zealand game. They also have the Footy Show and from this season the programmes with Sterlo and Matty Johns. It costs about ten quid/twenty dollars a month. Some UK bookmakers also stream NRL games live and legally as long as you have a penny in your account.
