Couldn't the NRL refuse to allow the new contract, unless it was amicable by all parties?

What is in it for the old club to do the new club any favours. Let's takes Moses for example why would the Tigers make his life easier when he is going to the Eels. The only way that I can think of is a transfer fee that goes onto the old clubs cap. So if bitch moses leaves us we hit the new club he's going to with a transfer fee and we can use that to sign another player.

NRL close to finalising $2.3 billion broadcast deal
The NRL is reportedly just days away from saving itself from financial ruin by agreeing to Australian sport’s richest ever TV deal.

Sounds like V’landys took the gamble, could either be a genius move or end up leaving us short changed towards the backend

I think the digital side of things has huge potential so hopefully we don’t cut funding off for that

Not sure we needed the four year extension. Why extend now when we aren't in a position of power to negotiate. Unless the deal has terms that are great for the nrl and the papers don't report on it seems like a shit house idea.
