The Sea Eagles will inject a double dose of magic at this year’s Auckland Nines after Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran were included in Geoff Toovey’s 18-man squad.

The star halves pairing will feature together at the Nines for the first time after the Sea Eagles opted to rest Foran last year following a taxing World Cup Campaign with the Kiwis.

Having failed to stamp their mark on the tournament’s inaugural year, the Sea Eagles have named young prospects Clinton Gutherson and Tom Trbojevic, as well as new recruit Feleti Mateo, in a bid to take out this year’s trophy.

Ace halfback Cherry-Evans will again captain the side in Auckland, with Manly to face Parramatta, St George Illawarra and Newcastle in the group stage of the tournament.

Shortly after arriving in Auckland the Sea Eagles will visit the Ronald McDonald House and Starship Hospital to spend time with children waiting for, or recovering from, a transplant.

Sea Eagles Nines Squad

1. Daly Cherry-Evans (c)2. Manaia Rudolph 3. Jayden Hodges
4. Brayden Wiliame 5. Tony Satini 6. Kieran Foran 7. Clinton Gutherson 8. Tom Trbojevic 9. Peta Hiku 10. Tom Symonds11. Cheyse Blair12. James Hasson
13. Feleti Mateo 14. Jesse Sene-Lefao 15. Josh Starling 16. Michael Chee Kam
17. Blake Leary 18. Dunamis Lui

Probably. Jesse Bromwich is one if the only ones I can think of that would earn more than him other than the big 3 now that Hoffman is gone.

It's obviously worked for them over the years, but Bellyache really does like to surround the big 4 (Bromwich makes that group now IMO) with shit.

It's obviously a young squad however...

In the squad of 18, 9 played last year in first grade, (for comparison of the only other squad named in our group at the moment, Souths have 12).

And additionally, they are a young and inexperienced squad, however there is firepower...all up there are 96 tries in 290 games combined of first grade experience. (0.33103448 tries per game combined). Souths have 279 in 1115 (0.25022422 tries per game combined).

Asofa-Solomona who has graduated from the NYC is a very exciting prospect!

(I'm doing these stats to try to find a value bet for most tries in the competition...)

They are a real bunch of whingers down their in Melbourne. Bellyacke, Smith , Slater and Cronk, always crying about over work, or rules, or why they shouldn't be part of the faking game.

If ever a big city, growing towards 6 million ever needed a second team, this is the city.
If only to shut these dropkicks up and give them some competition to think about.

They think the sun shines this mob. All they do is faking whinge.

I'll bite back. 3 queenslanders and nsw Bellyacke. You win,.

The point is, if you make the prize-money the carrot, we dont have to worry about any of these whingers.
My first idea this year was to up the prize-money for the nines, (they had a record first year attendence, the idea hit home, we had everything going for the event even though Bellyacke boycotted the faking event last year as well. ).
My idea was to up the prize-money. ??? I mean we are not paying every players wage. ? we have all the teams , (superstars) in the one spot, so why not up the faking prizemoney.

The prize money this year stayed the same, a measley 2.6 million.
I mean fake me, they could have raised it to 3 million at least after a record breaking first year.
And this is the faking problem with league, they dont know a faking awesome product if it bite them on the faking arse.

You make the event a must play must try to "win those big dollars" event, and you take away the faking whingers like bellyacke and his 3 muppeteers.

Cleary from the Panthers, the coach.
I know Gus rates him, but he did a survey on the pitch speed in Auckland at Eden park and worked out it was 35% faster because of the surface, so he said.
Intelligent, he is the new whippet, the new brainchild of the NRL, this muppet.

I already have told you guys the Nines is supercharged and better than the AFL because of the unlimited interchange.
But this muppet, Cleary, thinks he is a scientist, and has done pitch reports.

No wonder the game never grew while we have clubs and coaches running the code. :
You have to laugh, no,,,really. :)
Stick to coaching Cleary, you have won nothing so far.
And you will never win the nines with the muppets you send to NZ. Your a bit of a embarrassment really.
The code is trying to grow, no go backwards ya muppet.

If anyone wants to translate this for me into English, I would appreciate it.

Maybe if you took time to read my posts, instead of dismissing them.
You are not inviting new members to this blog by being so dismissive.

And just maybe,,,,,, that is why rugby league cant grow out of it's lower class roots.
Someone had to say it.

I like Hugh Jackman, the guy is awesome.
I like David Lynch, the maker of Elephant man, twin peaks fame.
(i am going to see his retrospective in Brisbane come march)
I love the Queensland ballet, and Li Cunxin, a amazing man.
Mal Meninga, Darren Lockyer, Joey Johns and Wayne Bennett, all are on my list as great and inspiring people.
The Irwins from Australia zoo, and Sydney. Rusty Crowe.
they all come second to my mrs

So as you can see my outlook is far and wide, and league culture and players are a large part of that interesting make-up.
Why such ordinary bloggers want to come down on me is puzzling.

Maybe i am too passionate.
