NRL Rd 15 2022 - General Non-Warriors Thread

It really is a tale of two comps now, isn't it? Long term this isn't sustainable and the NRL will have to step in somehow. In saying that though, it was so good to see a genuine upset last week and we should hope to see more of it.

Tonight, the Dragons meet the Rabbitohs. Both sides are having average years, without dropping to the depths of other struggling clubs. Well, Souths aren't really struggling, per se, but they're definitely disappointing.

Friday, a good banger to start off the real weekend, Manly at home to NQ. I don't think you can really separate these two, if fully fit. Perhaps the cold will give the home team the edge? I'm particularly looking forward to the forward battle here. Then the Storm host Brisbane, and we'll see how good the Broncos really are.

Saturday, opens with the Sharks probably doing the Titans. Then it's scary stuff, the Warriors v Panthers. What's that record score again? Someone said the Panthers could score off every set. Let's ride this one out together. The Eels must show their fans some mettle v the Roosters. Otherwise last week's shock loss could wreck their season.

Sunday, the Raiders and Knights. Let's suggest Canberra are favourites here. They've turned things around a bit, whereas the Knights are still all at sea. The Bulldogs v Tigers finish things off, with a real spoon fight, and some nervous looks from nearby on the ladder.

Enjoy.

Another promotional zinger for the upcoming Warriors v Tigers game at Mt Smart:

'Fly me to the spoon'.

(The Frank Sinatra classic). Do we have a winner?

Looking forward to the Eels Roosters, despite last week two pretty good sides, surely the Eels make a statement after that debacle

Nth Qld continue to be intriguing, if they are really top 4 they should roll Manly

Pretty ordinary from the South’s coach to hook the rookie halfback after 29mins. If you want to make a statement hook the pretender Cody Walker rather than scapegoating the rookie

Absolutely disgraceful act from the coach. He's clearly too scared to act on Walker and his shit. I reckon uncle wayne will get him to the Dolphins next year. Very skillful player but an absolute flog with chips on each shoulder.

A packed hill at Brookie. The locals have turned up!

Tof Sipley closing in on 50 NRL games. Great to see he's carving out a career in first grade.

Hell of a comeback from the Cowboys. They are the real deal. When does the bandwagon arrive??

Te Marie Martin’s comeback is unbelievable. He could easily play fullback for the kiwis next week. A class act!

What does Melbourne have to do to get sell outs?
If Warriors had performed like they had for last decade we would sell out most weeks for sure.

No try, Robson offside, Nanai catches ball, takes 3 or 4 steps, try overturned he travelled 10 metres. Lol

still made silly plays after it anyway but that’s good work from the bunker

OT: the Crusaders head up to Eden Park to win the championship. They're such a great organisation.

Sharks into the top-four after their 18-10 win over the Titans.

That's interesting, as in how far can they go?
