TBH, I think McLean was one of the drivers for the rule change from the NRL.

I only ever saw club footy played there, outside of a Cronulla v Canterbury Bulls pre season match many years ago, which I think was when Matty Johns got into some strife. Wandered under the old stand and they were selling old jumpers for $5-10 each

Flanno look like he was about to cry in the press conference, quivery mouth and all, it was a hard watch. Felt really sorry for him - dude looked like a dead man walking. They might need a solid drinking truth session for a reset.
Payten was gone for all money two weeks ago and somehow has pulled off a great escape. Flanno might do the same if the board are kind. But i dont think he has the horses at St George which is half the problem. True spoon contenders. Kind of reminds me of covid Warriors where we struggled to score points in any game.
