NRL Referees revolt

you mean like this......?

You think it's just merely coincidence the 2 referees (with a little vaso applied by Fittler) have decided to finally have a crack at Harrigan ........a week after "that try"?

http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport...onfidence-report/story-e6frep66-1226377837070

"No one will sign it," one leading referee said. "It would be done under duress.
"I don't want to sign anything. I have a game this weekend and don't want to deal with this now."

Another referee said support for Harrigan was at least 60-40 against.

Really looks like its not two refs doing this because Fittler and Stuart told them too.

Get over it. This is a referee's issue, NOT a NSW getting rid of Harrigan issue.

Central to the report was Harrigan's justification of Greg Inglis' controversial try for Queensland in last week's State of Origin opener.

....and yet this seems to still be a consistent theme

no matter which newspaper you read.

Oh of course, and US military presence in the middle east has always been to bring peace, stability and democracy to the area and has nothing to do with protecting their oil interests. Sorry Africa, can't help, you don't have enough oil.

Read Machiavelli or Sun Tsu? A "realist" theory explanation is that two senior refs can dethrone Bill and get a promotion that would otherwise be out of their grasp for at least a decade. Meaning every other ref can possibly move up notches on the ladder.

How can they do this? After "that" try. You really think Freddy would normally hang out with refs socially and further their concerns to the board? A millionaire media figure chilling with his favourite homies -the refs- and advocating their concerns? Seriously? Senior NSW officials will lobby with that as their fuel - no matter what other examples they bring - and punish Bill for stating it was a try and their previous SOO sook was unwarranted. And now the refs can do it with the majority of NSW behind them after "that" try. The sole opportunities for the refs to do this to Harrigan came as a result of his unpopularity with NSW big wigs after that try.

This is a knee jerk reaction by senior NSW figures originating from sheer bloody anger and resentment in my honest opinion. It all stems from "that" try.

Independence for referees? This move smacks of ensuing partisanship. Bill disagreed with us - so he's gone.

It is pure Shakespeare.

To be fair.......I believe he actually does take an interest in the referees in general.

"I've had a bit of a relationship with the referees, taken a bit of an interest, purely for the interests of the game," Fittler said.
or so he says.......first anyone's ever heard about it. Strangely enough.

Anyhoo.....his relationships with the NSW coach, with Phil Gould and the whole of the NSW team and extended management, surely denigrates any position he has other than acting in the best interests of NSW, and in particular

in light of the way they have carried on about "that try" and the refereeing in game 1 as a whole.

I guess also Harrigan publicly back flipping on what Stuart didn't hear Bill say, but Trent Barrent did, in a conversation that supposedly happened in the car park after the game

.......the NSW boys were publicly humiliated by Harrigan

They're not known for their gracious behaviour......

Couldn't be because the referees thought that decision was wrong, and that there have been many problems throughout the year...

Nope, it's a conspiracy!

Queenslanders still desperately trying to link this to Origin.

None more desperate than Fourskin. That quote was about referees being disgruntled about being told not to comment. Clearly, the referees are not rebelling about the Inglis try.

But no matter how f*cking obvious it is, morons like Fourskin and Canard will again vye for the village idiot award by crapping on yet again about the Inglis try.

How ironic that those who gained from that try are those who continue to whine and complain about it!

Loudy has the last word again.

Eventhough the ENTIRE article was about Origin and Fittler was representing the coaches, its not related in his mind.

I mean if Wally Lewis represented QLD in that same position it would be completely unbiased and not whinging so I agree.

Ive pissed on seats that were less bias than this but you know NSW is right, so I we QLDers should just be queit.

No, you stupid dribbler, the entire article was about referees being upset with Harrigan.

You are obsessed with Origin. Stop making every thread about it.

So no mention of Origin in that article at all ?

Even all 4 foot of Ronnie James Dio would realise that the ENTIRE article is a NSW whinge due to Origin.

Yeah sort of, but the real story is two refs went over their bosses head and said 'this bloke is useless', that's a fair statement.

If it was a senior ref like Archer who fronted that's a big thing.

Was there ever any press on why Cecchin got the nod over the senior refs, or did everyone just assume its more Hollywood bs?

:lol::lol:

I cannot believe the amount of shit that dribbles out of Qlders gobs. Yes, yes, yes its all about NSW whinging and not about Harrigan's inabiliy to manage the refs.

Despite the actual evidence that shows what the issues are you lot still want to turn it into a SOO situatiom.

Honestly, life is too short fellas. Let it rest. F*ck I'd hate to see how you lot would be if you lost a bloody series!!!

Harrigan's managing them. He's told them to STFU about "that try"

(........you know the one,

the GI try in State of Origin game 1. The one that has got nothing to do with this....apparently )

Two of them didn't like being silenced and along pops

guess who......?

Fried Fittler.......he's from NSW management, isn't he? Coincidence......???

Must be.....

Freddy then goes and has a cry to Gallop that there's a couple refs sulking about Bill Harrigan and the story unfolds from there.

The issue isn't whether NSW are whinging again........it's a gimme that they're driving this and that they still haven't gotten over the loss in SOO last week.

The real issue is what the f*ck is Gallop doing meeting with Brad Fittler?? If Gallop is having regular sit downs with this idiot and actually taking notice of what's been said, then whatever shreds of credibility Gallop had left must surely now be at less than zero.

The quicker David Gallop f*cks off completely and John Grant takes full charge of the reins, the better off this great game of ours will be.

I hope gallops tells them to f**k off

Regardless of your thoughts on harrigan the tail can't wag the dog. My view is that harrigan is the refs boss and if they are unhappy they need to talk to him rather than attempting to go around him by speaking to gallop.

Man up guys strap on a pair and try to sort it out yourselves rather than involving freddy (wtf ? I mean seriously wtf ??) and running to the CEO

The article also mentions Hollywood, Wagga and the Triple M Grill Team.

Obviously it's all about them as well you f*cking paranoid idiot,

Even all 4 foot of Ronnie James Dio would realise that the ENTIRE article is a NSW whinge due to Origin.
Not even Ozzy at his most stoned could draw that conclusion. But keep the tin foil hat on your head.............

"It's not 90 per cent of referees behind Bill, it's closer to 98 per cent.
"Most of the referees can't be happier with Bill, but unfortunately there are one or two blokes who think they should be getting a better reward than they are.
"The only people who have an issue with Bill Harrigan have an agenda. They are trying to undermine Bill and it's an injustice because Bill and Stuart Raper are doing a brilliant job."
and one of them is an ex-team mate of derpy fittler........geez, I wonder what that agenda might be?

surely it can't be about "that try"......

As hopeless as Harrigen is, I'd take him any day of the week over Robert Finch. The game is still attempting to fix up the damage that he did.
