Lol, yeah sounds awesome..

Or NRL could be like any other major sporting code and have proper season stat listings on their website. Why they don't, I'm not sure.

A few years back you could go to nrlstats.com and get a heap of great stats and historical data going back years. Last year, or maybe the year before, they pulled that service from public view, I believe so they could start charging for it.

If anyone remembers VNRL as it was in the early '00s, it collapsed because NRL Stats threatened to sue them unless they paid royalties to use freely available statistics for a free service.

If the NRL are moving their stats in house, that can only be a good thing.

It was a couple of years ago they pulled the big leaderboards from Nrlstats.com, they were absolute gold. A fantastic resource.

There are still the resources out there, just not as easily found.

I recall the NRL having a falling out with the people that ran the official stats sites and programs for the NRL a couple of years back.
