The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will be without Jamal Idris for Sunday's round 15 NRL clash against Cronulla with the centre not considered for selection after missing training on Monday.

“Jamal made a mistake and he is paying a high price for it,” Bulldogs head coach Kevin Moore said. “He breached team protocol and as such he was not considered for selection in the team to play the Sharks.

“We set high standards at the Bulldogs and we expect all players to meet those standards. The simple fact is Jamal hasn't lived up to expectations and as such he will miss this week's game.

“Jamal understands the move the Club has taken and he's given us an assurance that he will work hard to get back into the side.”

Exciting young prospect Tim Lafai will make his return to the NRL in Idris' place, having featured five times in the centres as injury cover for Josh Morris earlier in 2011.

In other team news, Ben Roberts has been named at five eighth for the first time this season, where he will form a partnership with Kris Keating who has shifted one spot closer into the action at halfback.

Keating and Corey Payne are currently recovering from injuries suffered in the round 13 loss to Manly, with both to be given until later in the week to prove their fitness.

The Bulldogs will also be boosted by the returns of Aiden Tolman and Greg Eastwood, with Tolman to play his first match since round 11.

Eastwood made a successful and unexpected return for the Bulldogs NSW Cup side in its 20-18 victory over Windsor at the Crest on Saturday, with his subsequent selection at prop in the NRL side seeing captain Andrew Ryan shift back to the second row.

And Michael Lett returns on the wing in place of Bryson Goodwin, with Lett looking to add to his tally having scored two tries in as many NRL appearances for the Club.

Lafai's ascent to the NRL side has caused a reshuffle at Toyota Cup level, with coach Andy Patmore naming Sean Deaves on the wing while moving Sam Ahofono into the centre's spot vacated by Lafai.
