NRL VIC news and competitions 2025

I’m starting a separate thread to focus on all competitions across Victoria in 2025.
I'm expecting a big increase in participation this year with the demise of the Rebels.
The Goulburn Murray Storm comp looks like expanding and there is a new club in Bendigo.
Bring on 2025.

There is also rumours of relaunching Sunraysia and even the competition in Central Highlands. If Bendigo can get up, it would make life far easier for Ballarat etc.

Honestly, the NRL / NRL Vic should make a specific attempt at relaunching the Gippsland Rugby League (even a 9's series) to get them off the ground again would be massive.

Mildura ran a 3/4 week come and try event last year but I’ve heard nothing since. Have you?

The new Bendigo team is set to be known as the Crushers. First time Bendigo has had a team since the failed Tigers side in 2012-2013.

New club formed in Mildura hoping to play in a relaunched Sunraysia competition.



The Robinvale Storm are also showing signs of life as well, so hopefully there will be some form of competition in 2025.
