Start in the metro third grade comp like Geelong have. It’s taken 3 seasons but Geelong have started to to win games and their juniors are growing as well. Women’s league tag as well. It’s a good model to follow.

I had a chat to the Geelong president recently cause all the talk was that even though they weren't winning in there first couple of seasons they had a really good culture

What I'm about to say is not a criticism of anyone involved in the previous attempts at a team in Bendigo because I wasn't involved and don't know the circumstances but we want this team to stick around and not be home after a year or so like the previous attempts in Bendigo.

Rugby League is a lot more popular here than it was back then as well.
