NRL worst Tacklers

As you can see (from my signature) i think, and it pains me to say, that George Carmont's "turn-style gate" type of defence in the worst in the NRL.

It was harder to get into the ground than it is getting past George.

Stacey Jones has been an average defender in previous seasons but seems to have improved greatly :D
Karbunkel Hunt is a terrible defender in pretty much every way.

The first player that came to mind was Carmont. The guy can't tackle to save his life, another being Chris Walker

Clinton "rush out of the line, grab at a jersey and leave a 3 man overlap" Toopi deserves a mention.

Benji is fairly average. His technique is actually ok, but not for someone his size. Doesn't have the strength to pull of what he tries. He's definately improving though, and he has plenty of time to do so.

Three 5/8's stand out to me. Marshall, Campbell and Lockyer. Lockyer is so bad he need's Carroll to stand beside him at every level of the game...Brisbane, QLD, Australia. He's like a babysitter.

Other shockers include Hunt, Bowen, Walker and the Newcastle Knights.

Chris Walker, Clinton Toopi & Francis Meli.

And if you want to get technical, the Wests Tigers have missed more tackles than any other team this year, so a few of them must be fairly ordinary.

Shaun Timmins! The man misses plenty - and with no good reason! Just slides off etc...

Lockyer and Campbell are up there - but at least they try...

Burt is a strong candidate - and Billy Slater is the "fend off practice bag" when a player busts the line

Some players mentioned here are by no means good defenders, but they aren't the worst either.

In my opinion Chris Walker is the worst. Just watch him for one match and he is completely lost on the field, he rushes up and comes in at all the wrong times, and even when he is in position the other players just walk over him.
