X - NRL on Report.....
I - Me will not engage in any NRL activity in anyway for the next several weeks.
All that money which will go to the club, sent on travel, and beer and the tuck shops at the sevreal grounds wil be held.
To corporate sponsors
I will not disaplay any NRL mechandise I will not associate myself with any branding associated with the NRL

FOX / TCN 9
I have Fox for several reasons - F1 MotoGP movies
I will not view any Rugby League related Topical show including any live or reply broadcast shows
so to advertisers I will there fore not view any of the hugely expensive adds which are in place for my convience.

Advertisers save your money. Paid commentators - save your breath, Because I will not be listening.
I am only one but - there maybe two, then three.
What happens to your jobs - your adverisising money when this awakenong reaches the Event Horizion.

I dont care I have a well paying job.
maybe my son when he asks why - He will understand in detail, the day the NRL shot themselves in the foot.

Remember - I don't care whether I watch your Sh!# or not.
I have a life - and i'm sure peoiple out there will come to realise this too.

Such a shame.

Just visited my dear mother in law at the local aged care facility.

On weekends they have the footy showing on the large TV in the dining / common room.

Tonight NRL 360 was on. I can guarantee the small group of elderly gents watching it had more intelligence and were less senile than the majority of the panellists.

Hadley was just name dropping for the first 5 minutes.

Ahh geez I tempted fate to watch it tonight...

Geez it couldn’t have been more of a brown-nose fest. Crawley and Hooper are the worst journos around. Ones one coz of nepotism.. the other, fox knows why but they replaced him with Hadley??

After 2 minutes of glorifying Peter Vlandys .. fast forward got a huge workout.

Again, James Graham was the only voice of reason. While remaining calm and assured, not like the journos.

Jimmy Graham is great. Just to think the other pommie they pushed onto us as a media personality was Sam Farkin Burgess. James Graham was a leader on the field and it’s the same with his media performances.

Spot on. They've all had their cards marked by Vlandys haven't they ?

Every time there is a Fox Sports article based on something said on NRL 360, the accompanying picture always seems to be a wide shot of a bunch of middle aged dudes in suits in a semi circle no doubt dribbling shit about footy. And for some reason it triggers something in my brain to not click on that link as I feel my IQ will drop by reading it.

I've cottoned on to this ruse by News Ltd... If you watch NRL on Fox shows, like NRL 360, the hearsay and baseless rumours that the likes of Buzz or Hooper dribble during the show, suddenly generate a "Breaking News" email in your inbox the next day. And I used to get sucked in and think there would be something new, but it's basically dribblers verbatim.... Rumours have become breaking news...

Worse than that, opinions have become breaking news.

What about the constant diatribes of Paul Kent? That guy has one serious superiority complex! It is almost like he thinks he is some prophet and that his articles are sacred texts. Did you hear him constantly try to deride Clint Newton yesterday every time the guy tried to answer a question? I may not have agreed with the approach that Newton took in his answers but at least give the guy the chance to answer.

Speaking of Buzz's dribble, does anyone else find the sound of Buzz's voice irritating?

The issue with Clint Newton was that he wasn't answering the question. There was so much corporate jargin and spin that he was just going around in circles. I'm no Kent fan, but good on him for calling out that crap that Newton was spinning yesterday.

i thought it was pretty obvious what he was saying, players want to be consulted and involved in decision making, especially in far reaching high impact decisions on what happens on the field. Not sure why Kent, or yourself, found it hard to understand his point? Problem with Kent is he is so busy shouting most of the time that he doesn't listen. It seems an increasing societal problem that people struggle to understand its ok to have different opinions and shouldn't feel offended by that lol

He was answering the question; Paul Kent just wasn't getting the answers he was looking for. Kent was also using the interview as an opportunity to promote his pro-V'landys agenda by inculcating this notion that V'landys "saved the game". Remember, Kent's employers love V'landys!

With that being said, Clint Newton came into the interview very unprepared. He basic should have gone in with the following approach:
  • The players were upset that they were not consulted about sin bin/send off directive and are concerned about this setting a precedent for future decisions which affect the fabric of the game.
  • The players are on board with eradicating high tackles but feel that sin bins/send offs are too extreme.
  • The players are not trying to remove V'landys but want to implement a more democratic process where one person does not have the power to make decisions to influence the game as drastically as this has.

That's another problem with Kent - he starts shouting over the top of people as soon as someone starts disagreeing with him. Furthermore, he justifies this by saying that he is allowed to talk over the top of people when they misrepresent the facts! Do me a favour! If anyone has a trouble distinguishing fact from opinion it is Paul Kent. I'm surprised no one has knocked the guy out to be honest with you! I absolutely loved it when Clint Newton called him out for interrupting constantly and getting overly emotional.
