Why are so many people putting Clinton so high?

He can't kick goals any more, isn't as quick as Mini, Bowen, Stewart etc and doesn't score any where near as many tries as these guys.

His only plus in defence, not at which there are others who are better than him.

Schif's defence is second to none as far as fullbacks go. His attack has definitely been flat lately but he can break tackles better than most and has a decent kicking game. He's also one of the better fullbacks under the high ball. You can't argue against his form in 2003, he was robbed when he wasn't selected for Qld.

Schifcofske and Hodgeson are the only complete fullbacks left in the comp
Schif is without a shadow of a doubt the best defensive fullback in the comp and when in form his stop start and explosive speed can cause havok with team, he is also a work horse at fullback, taking plenty of hitups and making shitloads of metres
His speed is deceptive, he dosnt look like he is going quick but when he is in open space there arnt many that could him down. When in top form (which last year he wasnt close too #-o ) he is the best fullback in the NRL bar none.

1 Minichiello
2 Hornby
3 Bowen
4 Slater
5 McKinnon

Its very close though, there is absolutely no shortage of fullbacks in the NRL right now. I'm not sure who Newcastle will have next year now that O'Davis is gone but that David Seage guy looks pretty good. Not sure who Souths have as fullback either.

1) Minichello
2) Bowen
3) Hodgson
4) Slater
5) Patten (very underrated & i know people might say im bias but he is very safe in defence.)

souths fullback would probably be Todd Polglase- souths fans???

i'm not a Souths fan, but i reckon it'll be either Roy Bell or Mad Dog MacDougall.

roy bell will be the breakout fan sensation for 2005

1. Hodgson/Hornby - Can't split them, very similar players.
2. Minichello - Not as good as last year, but still had a great year.
3. Bowen - Unbelievable player.
4. Mckinnon - Behind Hindmarsh, Parra’s best player this year.
5. Pattern - Very under-rated, gives it his all, plays magnificently, and gets no recognition whatsoever. Had to get a mention.

I beg the differ, big time. I dare say Hornby is right up there

Tackles-231
Mistackles-36

Compare that to every fullback in the comp you'll find he is the best tackling fullback in the game. Errors perhaps, is another story.
