New South Wales can still win this series, but not with Nathan Cleary and Cody Walker in the halves. It is essential to bring back the form half back, Mitchell Pearce, and possibly James Maloney, both of whom have benefited from being part of a winning Sydney Roosters culture.

of that lot, only blake ferguson will make a difference as NSW is going to need another big body to cart the pill out early in sets the other two are downhill skiiers.

i'd be looking at Maloney just quietly. out of uninjured halves in contention, he's the only one I'd have faith in doing it. f**k if I'd bring in Brooks or Moses to debut in this game. Freddy had an opportunity to blood an organiser in game 1, and he chose not to pick one.

Go back to the future. If it fails, we won't have another half to be tainted by all and sundry and pressure heaped onto them to turn it around.
