Lololol Hooper reckons braindead Wighton and epic Milhouse Mythchell Pus in the halves :joy::joy:
How could Wighton be the half who retains his spot? He comes on and throw the intercept which ultimately lost NSW the game

Not sure why we think THIS time will be different for Pearce. Swear we've heard that before... hes more mature. In career best form etc. But it never provesto be true

Janes Maloney should be the first half picked. He is the only proven big game player we have who has done it for NSW. Drop Walker. Drop Cleary . Keep Wighton. IDGAF. Make sure Jimmy is in chargeof the team. Its our only chance to win the series.

Same old broken record being played by media. It cost Daley his job as NSW coach and it will cost Fittler his as well if he falls for it. Freddy should watch the final 15 minutes of game 2, 2017 if in any doubt whatsoever.

Hooper's a goose.

Origin is not a development program. If Cleary is not the best halfback eligible and he can’t get the job done without Maloney(who shouldn’t be there) then piss him off. Zero attacking stats from 4 games. If Pearce served this up he’d be smashed from pillar to post.
Pearce did serve it up and got punished by keeping his spot and having new halves partners

Looks like Freddy and Co having more fun playing leaky leakys. Fox announce at halftime in the Canberra game that Pearce and Cleary to be the NSW halves.

Scoop from James Hooper. Although I have to say Brandy's denial when questioned about it was pretty limp.

It’s a good strategy if your tactic is to keep Cleary in the halves, not to win an Origin game

We know Pearce will cop all the blame and Cleary can float under the radar again

Almost poetic for Pearce to go through what so many halves went through with him

The reason it is getting a push is two famous ex-Knights players are pushing Pearce's barrow even more hard now since he moved to play for Newcastle. If Reynolds and Keary were fit, Pearce would not even get a look in. I respect Pearce but his time at Origin level, rightly or wrongly, is over.

Only reason Pearce should come in is to replace Cleary since Keary and Reynolds are both out.

No way should they both be in the halves together. If it ends up happening, why the f**k are both of them so immune to blame by the NSW staff yet Walker gets dropped after only one game where he got hooked halfway through?

All of this is papering over the fact that without Klemmer your forwards are suddenly looking a bit frail (amazingly). Doesn't matter who the halves are etc...

walker was always the wrong selection for mine, and i'm a souths supporter. it was good for him to get some recognition of the way he's been playing, but a coach needs to look at why a player is playing so well and whether it will work in a different environment. perhaps if a reynolds or maloney was there, it would work but it doesn't with cleary. they're not game managers.

there was also a story that the left side (cordner-mitchell-tedesco) who play together at club and were in the squad last season said they'd work in with him rather than the other way around. well, you'd think that 3 roosters players would know how to play their game rather than have to learn Walker's in a week. in the end, that whole left side was a cluster f**k. and i don't think either NSW winger got the ball at the end of a back line move the way DCE & Munster got it out to QLD wingers, which highlights the lack of organisation from NSW halves in game 1.

for mine, Maloney is the key. don't worry about his form for the year. look at what he brings to the team. he's the guy to take advantage of the roll-on the forwards need to get. imagine him in the next phase of a cam murray quick play the ball, and a cook dart out of acting half? he's the guy to make the right decision with that opportunity.
